Cleveland Notes
- Boobie reaggravated his left ankle in Sunday's game but will probably try to play through it. Bad news for him as a shooter, good news for us as a team since he changes our team complexion from "mediocre" to "winner". Lebron trusts him, so we all might as well accept that we should also.

- Delonte's last game was his best so far, saying he played looser and not thinking so much. Regardless of whether Boobie will start or come off the bench in the playoffs, the West/Boobie backcourt tandem is absolutely critical to develop. Those 2 have extrememly high potential together. Of course this all hinges on whether Boobie plays at all, and if he does- how much his sore ankle affects his shot.

- Ben Wallace is still suffering from the bad back. He should probably sit this one out, considering he got about 4 inches of air on the alley-oop he was injured on Sunday.

- Wally's shot continues to suck, but he's working hard on defense, so still deserves time. I suppose.

- Sasha's reaction to his demotion is anyone's guess. Time to sack up Pavs.

Bobcats Notes

- I honestly don't know what to write about this team. They're not even close to making the playoffs, and their coach is on the hot seat. They have good starters, but their bench is pretty lame aside from Matt Carroll, who should be off the bench no sooner than 3rd.

- Jared Dudley has been developing but is not a game changer.

- This team was desperate enough to sign Earl Boykins. What does that tell you? Plus their coach is almost a lock to be fired. Coincidence? I think not.

Mike Brown Gameplan Keys
- Still looking for good combinations, Devin Brown seems like more of a band-aid for the starting lineup than a long-term solutions for the playoffs.

- This game is also about raising our intensity level. If Boobie is out, it will be up to Mike Brown to raise our sense of urgency. If Boobie plays, I expect our killer instinct to kick in on its own.

Kyp's Prediction: Cavs 118 Bobcats 83

I see alot of wide open 3's for Jason Richardson. If the Bobcats were smart they would play Earl Boykins against Delonte West. Boykins and Mo Williams seem to have his number. Earl will pick his pocket at least once.

Charlotte has been held back by injuries to his high profile draft picks (May and Morrison). They traded for Richardson but other than that they haven't really obtained much to help make a playoff push. The Bobcats play better when GWallace isn't playing but that might just be an abnomally. However, this team has bad chemistry problems. Okafur would actually be good in our system but he is underutilized in Charlottes. Felton is hot and cold and still doesn't have a jump shot. He actually shoots too much if you ask me.

The key to the game is to make Felton a jumpshooter rather than a passer. Felton can blow by DWest easily so help defense is important too. Dwest should dare Felton to shoot but enough where Felton can just get a running start to blow by him. The teams match up well especially with Big Ben out.

The big concern will be the Jason Richardson/Devin Brown matchup. The cavs really can't use the West/Boobie combo if Richardson is at the 2guard. They could try it and see if West can grit his way to annoy the more athletic Richardson. But I could see it to be a problem on rotations.

Keys to game:

Make Felton a jumpshooter

Slow Game down

Get Emeka in foul trouble early and take him out of the game (he has some bad games when he gets early foul trouble)

Make this team play as a team - make them make the wide open pass, the extra pass

Delonte must contain the point guards. Delonte likes the Deron's, and Andre's of the world but not the Chris' and Raymonds of the nba pg world

Big Z must score 15-20 to help Lebron out since DWest will be busy with Felton.

I think that we need this one so much....I am pleased to see that Pavlovic is heading to the bench...Devin should play like 25 minutes and Wally to get 25 minutes....And more Joe Smith for sure...Thats our best rotation including Wally,LBJ,Joe and Boobie on the court together....Playoffs are coming and it's time to see Wally doing some good work with good shooting touch....Go Cavs!!!

I hope we play devin 15mpg and play gibson and delonte together for at least 20 minutes. Delonte seems long enough to guard anyone up to 6'6.. 6'7 6'8 guards are pushing it but 6'6 shouldnt be too much of an issue and on offense we have a serious mismatch with gibson and delonte vs bigger and not as quick guards.

"I reckon I shoot me a Bobcat or two, yessum"

The Cavs better come out with a killer instinct tonight and not let the Cats feel froggy..
They always seem to play to the level of their comp which isn't a good thing.

I predict...Cavs keep it close for 3 and 1/2 quarters, never getting down by more than ten or up by more than ten...then try to win in the final 5 or 6 minutes...because that is what they always do.

:chuckles: with this team, it is never really going out on a limb to make that comment. If only we could step on an inferior teams neck and and break it before the 4th.

Andy needs to put it together soon. With the dumb shot he took last year, the holdout, the injury, and his inconsistent play since(maybe still injured), I hope whatever is causing his struggles subsides.

I think he needs cut his mop so what little of a brain he has can get some air.

I hate to say this but I have a feeling this is another road loss. Bobcats 93 Cavs 86

I say we get killed tonight....

(Now hopefully we KILL THEM!)

Man, this should so just be a win. The Bobcats aren't good. I guess if I had to choose whether the Cavs were a regular season team or a playoff team, I would choose the playoff team, which they tend to be. But still, Cavs are more talented than the Bobcats and a better team than the Bobcats. Why do I feel like they are more likely to lose this game than win it?

They Better Be Ready For This One!!:)
