Design a Cover for Tipoff Tonight
Whether you hone your chops on Photoshop, draw your brand with Freehand, or become a creator through Illustrator, we want to enshrine your design on the cover of Tipoff Tonight!
As part of FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT on April 18th, the Cleveland Cavaliers are giving one talented fan the chance to design the cover of our in-game program, distributed for view by 20,562 throughout The Q.
So if your specialty is digital design or pen and ink, watercolors or acrylics, charcoal or crayons, woodcuts or mosaics - whatever your method of expression, cultivate your Cavs creativity, scan it in, send it along, and perhaps your artistry will become a part of the magical season that is Cavaliers basketball.
Cover Artwork Specifications
Page size for electronic art must be 5.5" wide x 8.5" tall. The outer .125" of this area will not be printed. Do not put important visual elements close to the page edge or in the top 1.75" of the page, as we will add the publication's title, date and specific game information to your artwork in that space.
Not Accepted:
# Microsoft Word, Publisher, Quark, InDesign, Pagemaker or any other page layout programs.
# GIF or JPEG files.
# PDF of unflattened Photoshop files.
Accepted:
# Photoshop TIFF files; TIFF files should be saved at 300 dpi, in CMYK mode and must be flattened.
# PDF files; native file must be flattened and images used in native file must be at 300 dpi and in CMYK mode. Please embed all fonts when creating your PDF and save at a high resolution.

Deadline: The deadline to submit your artwork is Monday, April 2nd, 2007.

BUT, everyone at The Q on April 18th will know the cover was your personal handy-work! Just give us some fun information about yourself (name, hometown, career scoring average, etc.), and we’ll highlight you as the creative genius behind the cover of Tip-Off Tonight. Think of it as your own personal photo credit!
