Game Number 27
Cleveland Cavaliers (15-11) VS Atlanta Hawks (9-17)
Wednesday, December 27th, 2006
7:00pm ET
Radio : WTAM 1100
Television: FSN Ohio, NBA TV (TVU Player)
Philips Arena, Atlanta, Georgia
Head Coaches
Mike Brown / Mike Woodson
Probable Starters
Eric Snow / Speedy Claxton
Larry Hughes / Joe Johnson
LeBron James / Shelden Williams
Drew Gooden / Marvin Williams
Zydrunas Ilgauskas / Zaza Pachulia
Cavs Bench
Anderson Varejao / Damon Jones / Donyell Marshall / Daniel "Booby" Gibson
Hawks Bench
Josh Childress / Tyronn Lue / Salim Stoudamire / Lorenzen Wright
Atlanta Key Points
* Their most physical presence, Josh Smith, just went down with a hernia. He'll be out for a month and needs surgery.
* Speedy Claxton (back spasms) and Tyronn Lue (groin) are returning from short-term injuries. Royal Ivey could get the start if either of these are shaky. We should take advantage here.
* Zaza Pachulia is questionable with a banged elbow, so Lorenzen Wright could get major minutes or even the start.
Cleveland Key Points
* Z is starting to get on an offensive roll, this could be his 4th good post game in a row, which we so desperately need.
* Larry has asked Coach to cut back his minutes in response to re-aggravating his ankle injury. We don't know what that means...25...30...
*Drew is still dealing with a lingering groin issue but appears to be coming out of it. He won't gain his early-season post form until he does. Look for Andy to pick up the slack as usual.
*Forcing Speedy Claxton into poor shot selection is easy, just breathe on him. Tyronn Lue, on the other hand, is a Cavalier Killer.
Kyp's Prediction: Cavaliers 115 Hawks 97
