1. Bluiett and Ryan are pretty interchangeable to me...edge to Ryan I guess because he's a bit bigger, a bit younger, and isn't coming off a terrifyingly-bad GLeague season. Hands had a weird summer league going 1/7 from deep after going 1/11 from deep in last year's summer league...I really hoped he would look more confident from deep, but he absolutely did not.
2. Stevens is definitely worth keeping around. Still can't really shoot, but he does everything else well. Even had the best passing numbers on the team with 12 assists to 2 turnovers. Thomas is clearly a scoring specialist, and is clearly no good at his supposed specialty. To the extent that we need a break-glass-in-case-of-emergency ballhandler, it should be Cedi over Thomas every day of the week. Kabengele was equally unimpressive...seemed hopeless offensively even against scrubs, and wasn't that impressive on D either, managing just 4 blocks with 20 fouls. If he's the best we can do for a backup C, that's really bad news. We may literally be better off playing Stevens at center if it comes to it.
3. I didn't really watch enough summer league to say. I do notice that Stevens finished 4th among SFs in win shares in Vegas, and he managed that despite his usual poor shooting from deep. So while he's obviously not great by NBA standards, you'd be hard pressed to find an unsigned summer league wing who can match his all-around impact.
