Cavs vs Detroit 8:00pm FSOhio/WUAB ESPN WTAM 1100

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Pistons -20 when Rasheed was out there...he shot 6-17.
Cavs +19 when Ben Wallace was out there.

with how disjointed and unorganized our offense was, it's amazing we were still able to score 89, while shooting 44.4% from the field. At least the turnovers were toned down, but that was mainly because of lack of ball movement. We would just make one or two passes then go to a post or iso (or just pounded the ball and hoisted it when the shot clock hit 1:chuckles:).

Z really saved our ass for the offense (especially in the 4th), as only he and Wally shot at least reasonable from the field (besides LeBron of course). This game is why I'm not worried about our D, though I would like to see it replicated on road games as well.

why didnt joe smith play more?

I will say, Ben Wallace plays much better in meaningful games and in the playoffs, which is all we really care about right?

You're offense isn't gonna be as successful as you want it be with that Detroit Pistons defense guarding you.

No man, it's the movement. Just like the other games every man is stagnant. LeBron is lazy. No one is rotating through. And they're shooting way too many jumpers. Like I said before, this game would be hard pressed if the Pistons weren't tired because of their back-to-back.

It just made me happy that they didn't make this game not so close.

Good win...I only saw the end of the third and fourth.
It was a good defensive effort..but something Brown said when he was being interviewed was curious.." We have to figure out what we're doing on offense"..or something close to that.
Brown you're the coach YOU OUGHT TO KNOW what to do on offense..then your players will know also.

I believe he is talking about the new guys and them being comfortable in all our sets.

So I know I am gonna get razzed for this but I need to say it...

I am a Michigan fan as we all know and I am on some Michigan boards obviously because of it...

You would not believe how incredibly arrogant and annoying Piston fans are...

and before you start in on Michigan fans blah blah blah just listen

these guys arent that way about Michigan...i know these guys like I know you all...when it comes to Michigan they are rational and smart and know thier stuff but when it comes to the Pistons they just lose all of that and they are completly retarted about it

its really amazing to see how arrogant they are

The only two players that affects is Wally and West..
Smith doesn't seem to be affected by his new team.

It appears the problems are the same as before.
So I don't totally buy into the new guys have to get comfortable...the teams they came from ran better offense sets than the Cavs do.
Lebron has ball..Lebron waits for pick or pounds the ball waiting to make a move while four guys stand around.
West needs ball...running the offense..Lebron needs to set up on the low block.
Wally....well spot minutes for him..

Arrogance is their way of dealing with losing to us. This is how the team always reacts to losing to the Cavs so I wouldn't expect the fans to be any different. It makes it more fun to see them lose to us.

I'm looking forward to more of this in May:

it really is amazing the excuses they come up with every time and its always that LeBron sucks and that we have NO offense and the only reason they ever lose is that the Pistons for some unknown reason always shoot bad against us

I mean that was the argument i got last night

and these guys are really knowledgable football fans that I enjoy talking with about UM but when it comes to basketball they are just flat out bad

Defense was superior tonight. Detroit hit some jumpers when they got good looks but they rarely got good looks. Offense was stagnant but I didn't think we took that many bad shots. I'll take a 22/7 assist to turnover ratio any game for sure.

The refs put their whistles away for sure this game. 7 detroit free throws and 16 for the Cavs. Pavs/West/LJ/Big Ben all could have had some more trips to the line in the first half alone.

Is it me or when lefties miss...its horrible looking? Tayshaun and Delonte's misses looked ugly!!

I'm really surprised Juan Dixon didn't play. The Pistons needed some instant offense to match Wally's and never got it. Jarvis Hayes didn't get his shots this game like he did in the previous couple.

Delonte West I thought played great against Billups severly limiting his driving ability. Billups however may have been on cruise control like he usually is during this part of the regular season. However, West did contest almost all of his shots. In the 2nd half I remember 2 decent looks Billups had and he drained 1 of them.

People are saying its the 2nd of a back to back for Detroit but their first game was a blow out where the starters played below average minutes. In fact the last two pistons games have been blowouts where the starters played basically less than 30 minutes per starter.

Cavs have lost their last 4 (6 of 7) road games and won their last 8 home games. I don't see with their last 13 games, the Cavs can not go 9-4 or better. 5 road games and 8 home games.

I see the playoffs and I see the lineup at the end of the games when the Cavs are up by a few (3-6 points) of Wally, West, Lebron, Boobie and Z and i see a team that can hold a lead with their free throw shooting. Then some out Wally/boobie for Big Ben/Pavs(dbrown) and you got the offensive/defensive switch you need to win tight games down the stretch.

why was Rick Bucher asking "former Cavaliers" on who we rather play in the playoffs:confused:
