Cavs vs Detroit 8:00pm FSOhio/WUAB ESPN WTAM 1100

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The good news...it's the 2nd game of a back-to-back for Detroit, and Detroit gave up 120 points in the first game. Now, for the bad news: The first game of the normally dreaded home-road back-to-back was in Detroit, a mere 3 hour bus ride, 45 minute plane ride. The Pistons may have given up 120, but they won handily, scoring 136, with the game never really in question. Only one starter played more than 28 minutes (Rasheed, 30), and Maxiell was the only other player with more than that (32 minutes). They had 7 players in double figures, and everyone who played for them scored (11 players). They've also been on a huge roll since the beginning of February and have beaten pretty much everyone.

At least the Cavs defense isn't the revolving door of the Nuggets, and they won't give up close to 136 at home. With LBJ they always have a chance to win, they're at home, the Pistons are on the 2nd night of a back-to-back, and the Cavs have a great chance to make a statement...Let's hope that is enough to get the W.

I really have a hard time buying that any regular season game is a "statement" game.

Win or lose, nothing really changes. Beating San Antonio twice last year really helped us in the playoffs didn't it? The facts are, barring something completely unforeseen, the Cavaliers are gonna be the 4 seed and the Pistons are gonna be the 2 seed regardless of what happens tonight. We won't be seeing them unless it's a EC Finals rematch and we've already proven that we can win in that exact situation without home court.

The regular season is pretty much dead to me at this point.

I don't really believe in statement games either, but I think this week would've been a good opportunity to make a statement to themselves and other teams that they are capable of winning in the playoffs. This team hasn't beaten anybody worth while since the trade and it would be nice to actually beat a playoff team before the years over...

I cant tell you one thing....If Wally cant get 20 minutes tonight we cant win....Maybe Brown or Sasha can hit many good shoots? No guys....This is game for Wally,LBJ and Z....Thats the only way but how i can to explain that to our coach?........

Coach Brown reads the boards...no need to explain it to him in person or over the phone.

We barely beat a team like Charlotte at home, and got rolled by the Nets, Bulls and Magic on the road... All we're missing is Gibson now (which is big) but isn't a big enough crutch to lean on in terms of winning and losing these big games..

That would be nice if that man want to read....I just know everything about Wally and he is still not happy and comfortable here...If he can get big minutes he will be King's right hand and we will go deep in playoffs....

I hear ya Wally World. I'm not a Wally Z hater either. I just think he has lost a lot of his game due to injuries and age. He is getting dangerously close to being washed up, in my opinion of course.

I do wish him the best and hope he finds his groove. Soon.

O,i understand what you want to tell me...Believe me that he is not washed up...He just need to figure out his role in this Cavs team...Thats it...

Easy. It's called the "Fat Donny" Method.

1.) Stand in the corner
2.) Wait for LeBron to kick you the ball
3.) Catch and shoot at a reasonably high percentage.*

*Donny forgot about this one.

LOL, good stuff. I love the Donnie Darko avatar too - just saw that movie for the first time over the weekend.

Frank says it's time for Wally to step back in time and play the way he did in Minnesota...

Detroit is playing some good basketball, this one could get ugly for the Cavs.

Good post man....It's time to see Wally from Minnesota days.....Lets win this one....

I doubt Wally will get any minutes. For some reason, he isn't ready. And this is an important game. I wouldn't depend on Wally for anything tonight.

But when you have Mike Brown front and center, any line up is possible. Let's just hope EVERYONE is able to hit there shots and stick to their man.
