Cavs vs Hornets 7:00pm FSOhio WTAM 1100

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I need some information....Will Booby play tonight?

I need some Boobie back in my life.

I'm still waiting for an update from the Cavs...the indication was that if he was pain free this morning after having practiced yesterday, then he would be in uniform tonight.

In the meantime, lets watch the infamous Boobie video...

The bench is considered weak because Scott refuses to use it. Last night, 3 starters played 40+ minutes, and a 4th played 35...and that was on the first game of a road-road back-to-back. The only reason Bonzi and Wright played over 20 minutes last night was because Mo Pete got injured.

So, when I say "weak" I am only stating this because the appearance is such. I don't know how Byron Scott even knows what he has in his bench...he never plays them. 4 starters are averaging 34.5 minutes per game, and no bench player plays more than 19 mpg...that indicates that Scott either has no confidence in his bench, or lacks the knowledge of how to use them.

The Hornets are obviously a very good team, or they wouldn't be tops in the West. But Scott's reliance on his starters is going to be his downfall come playoff time...and in this game. He pushed them way too hard in Indianapolis, and there is no way Julian Wright, Jannero Pargo, and Bonzi Wells are going to make up for 4 guys playing at least 35 minutes the night before, and possibly taking the place of the 5th starter, who is questionable with an injury, against a team that plays physical defense, especially at home, where they've limited their last 9 opponents to 85.5 ppg and 42% shooting (the last 2 opponents to 39% shooting). The Cavs have been buzzsawed by back-to-backs many times this season, and guys playing that many minutes run out of gas by the 2nd half...even supermen like LeBron.

So, I will stand by my 98-94 Cavs victory prediction.

Well, I can understand your viewpoint that Scott doesn't use the bench enough. Most hornets fans don't understand how he'll play a young promising center like Hilton Armstrong then sit him for the next 6 or 7 games. We have some really good players on the bench besides Pargo, Wright, and Wells.

With that being said, I trust Scott's decision-making as a coach and this team will be ready to play tonight. The good thing about this team being so young is that they're legs can stay fresh compared to some of the older teams in this league. I definately see your point about the starters playing way too much though.

But as for this game, if we keep the clamps on Lebron and force other Cavs to beat us, I have no doubt we will leave Cleveland with a win. I've seen so many times how CP3 slices up defenses and I don't expect any different tonight. Pick your poison.....CP3, Peja, D. West

Oh yea I forgot to mention. With Big Ben out I can just Tyson Chandler and David West having their way in the paint.

Oh yea and we're 5th in the league in defense. And the Hornets are in a better (and much higher scoring) conference than the Cavs.

LBJ is young, too, but even he gets tired after playing 40+ the night before. And there is no one in the NBA that can contain him, except Bruce, and that's because he cheats.

Looking Forward To Tonight

Hornets going for it all this year. Many keys...you know your keys, here are a few of the Hornets: Clearly watch Paul, & West. Last night they contributed 31 & 35 points respectively. New secret: Bonzi Wells. Peja could prove to sink daggers all night, esp. if Paul starts to go inside alot, and then you'll see Peja open with the 3 pointers. If the Hornets are "ON," tonight, you'll see a stifling defense in the Fourth Quarter. I'm looking forward to a great game. We know that you have won 9 in a row at home. We know you are in a playoff race, just like the Hornets. This game may be one of the better games for the remainder of the season for both teams. Here's to a good game!:thumbup: GO HORNETS!!!

The Cavs got a bunch of days off which should help Z and Andy. They need to feed off the home crowd and take advantage of the Hornet's back to back.

The Hornets fans must be getting excited what with their team fighting for #1 in the West, but it's time for the Cavs to start showing why they're still the defending ECF champs.
