CC CG Shutout, Tribe-1, Royals-0

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He's likely going to be the starter for the AL in the mid summer classic..

This does nothing but makes me smile.Me and my friend picked the AL MVP's,NL MVP's,AL Cy Young, and NL Cy Young. My picks were...

AL MVP-Vlad Guerrero
NL MVP-Miguel Cabrera
AL Cy Young-C.C. Sabathia
NL Cy Young-Roy Oswalt

His Picks...
AL MVP-Grady Sizemore
NL MVP-Carlos Beltran
AL Cy Young-Johan Santana
NL Cy Young-Jake Peavy

It is a little bet with 5 bucks for each one get right. So far he has a great choice for the NL Cy Young and I have for the Al Cy Young.C.C. looks awesome and it is great to watch.

Contract year?

CC is signed through next season. $8.75 mill this year and $9 mill next year. Expect that to at least double in '09 if he stays healthy.

Interesting incentives too for Cy Young and MVP voting:

# $7.75M in incentives (based on Cy Young, MVP balloting)
* $2M in 2006, $3M in 2007, $2.75M in 2008

Hafner is also signed through next season with a $4.75M club option. Of course the Tribe will pick that one up. But expect them to go hard after both of them this offseason. It will be tough re-signing both guys but the team prefers to not negotiate during the season.

He was already priced out of the Cleveland market long before this year. It's unfortunate, but that's major league baseball...It's stupid.

I hate to say it, but Sabithia has potential "$130 Million, Yankees, Mets" type money written all over him. Itd be such a Yankees move to get this guy and this time next year he is like 3-6 on the DL.

I hope C.C. doesn't leave but every good outing he has its more likley that the Yankees, Red Sox, and Mets will offer him the big money which our owner is not willing to part with..

It wouldn't seem right because we have been building around this guy.

CC wont be a Red Sox, we dont really need him, Dice K is DECENT, Beckett is having a great year, Schill is old but is doing well. Red Sox will offer him money...only to make a team like the Yankees pay out of the ass for him. Why do you think Clemens is making so much this year? Because Theo kept offering him more and more to "come to Boston" its sort of his thing. I wouldnt complain if we got him, but he seems like one of those typical money hungry dudes who play when they need to or when the end result benefits them.

James when you know nothing about a player, making stupid ass comments like this only makes you seem like a jackass.

yea, because my opinion isnt that far off, dude went 12-11 last year and this year its not even 2 weeks into June and he almost has as many wins as he did last year, only difference for him, its a contract year.
