He does have much in common with Ginobili: high energy, fast thinker, pliable and athletic, great instincts for the game, not particularly bad at anything. He will have to get better at creating his own shot, but I'm excited to see how he develops. He is already impacting games as a rookie.

Well, Cedi was out when Lue has his breakdown, so now that Lue is back, and Cedi is healthy, maybe it’s like nothing happened?

This kid is a straight bulldog competitor. We'll be fools if we don't carve him out a small bit of the pie in the postseason.

He has to play if we need defensive help in a game or series.

His overall Defensive Differential (coming into the Wizards game) is the best on the team, at -3.3 (guys shoot 3.3% worse when he guards them than they do normally, I think is what the stat means).

He needs experience, but his hustle and defensive ability are exceptional.

Rookies can't help you win.

He actually had a couple nice pg moves. Those 2 times he got it on the move on one wing he dribbled under the basket to the opposite wing where the floor was open and initiated the pass from there. Calderon is the only other guy that does that. Hit those 2 threes and then got taken out?

If there is one thing I am thankful that Lie has learned is that Cedi can be used for defense. I also agree they should just play him as a small ball 4 off the bench and forget TT.

Also most of LeBron's turnovers happen when he is bringing the ball up. I don't mind once he has a rhythm at the end of the game and is engaged, but let someone else bring the ball up at the beginning. Cedi can do that. Attacking his dribble is the best way to pester LeBron.

Tough comparison, Ginobli is an all time great player, both in the NBA and in international play. Perfect example of a player whose stats understate his impact, Osman can be that type, does not have to put up numbers to be a winning player.

Cedi would fit in great with the Argentinian team. Maybe not Ginobli specifically, but he would fit in that system

he needs consistent minutes from here on out

he can give us GREAT 10-15 minutes of energy, hustle and defense off the bench. suit up TT and give his minutes to cedi

small ball lineup: clarkson - korver - smith - cedi - nance off the bench

I really wonder if he can actually run the point. He got the ball on the wing and 2x went to teh open space and passed the ball just to get it moving and to move the defense. Really basic, but no one else does that besides Jose.

Shooting 41% on 3s for the year. With good defense.

.615 TS%. With good defense.

600 minutes played. The equivalent of 16 games played at 38 MPG. With GREAT shooting and good defense.

It’s a small sample size but the eye test doesn’t need that much sample when it comes to demonstrated skills.
