Beilein really had him sidelined as just a 3 and D. He needs to sharpen his passing and ball handling, but he can do both. I thought he benefited from the coaching change as much as the other guys we mention more. Bickerstaff has been more complimentary of Cedi than Beilein was.

Also, as a Credit to him, Cedi has been mentioned repeatedly in interviews as one of the hardest working guys. He is a part of that grind culture that we always hold up Sexton for. A slightly older guy who played with Lebron working that hard is nice to have around.

Playing smart can be contagious, but it requires a critical mass of guys to get it going. Cedi should be one of those guys even if he doesn't start.

So was this performance mainly due to him playing more than others in the off-season?

Because he did really good. He looks to be back to his agressive style but in a more tuned, compact package.

Im actually excited. He's still young enough. Needs to keep the agression up.

I think the key thing for me was an improved aggressiveness probably from working hard on his inside finishing. The competition for playing time will probably help too

It really shows that he worked hard this offseason.

His ballhandling has definitely improved. He is making it harder to steal the ball from him and going harder through contact.

I really think he can make small improvements in his game and be a really good player. Increase his efficiency and really be a 3 point threat. Last night he pulled up off the dribble and nailed them. That was his worst 3 pt shot last year.

Let's see what happens tomorrow night when they play the same team. The Pacers may pay a little more attention to Cedi. But it's a good observation that if he's on the floor with Sexton, Love, and Drummond he's going to be the fourth or maybe fifth scoring option. He may end up with a lot of catch-and-shoot opportunities.

He has to shoot like that to be a positive player because he just cant defend

Yeah so this guy has clearly improved over the summer. If this shooting carries over he will be a legit good player for us.

Looking more like Windl3r than Dylan himself lol.

Garland/Drummond run the pick and roll with Cedi, Love, and Sexton spotting up on the 3-point line looks pretty good. Garland can hit Dre with a lob, a bounce pass, or take the floater himself if the big sags off on Dre. If another defender drops down to help then hit a man on the perimeter and they can whip it around to the open 3-point shooter.

Ive heard this before. Eventually this kid needs to consistently produce.

So with Love out for tomorrow,,are we going to see Cedi at the 4 to start tomorrow night? Drummond/Cedi/Okoro/Sexton/Garland?

I would say Nance considering he is a more natural 4 if he is healthy enough to go.

Cedi is not 4...
