Beilein really had him sidelined as just a 3 and D. He needs to sharpen his passing and ball handling, but he can do both. I thought he benefited from the coaching change as much as the other guys we mention more. Bickerstaff has been more complimentary of Cedi than Beilein was.
Also, as a Credit to him, Cedi has been mentioned repeatedly in interviews as one of the hardest working guys. He is a part of that grind culture that we always hold up Sexton for. A slightly older guy who played with Lebron working that hard is nice to have around.
Playing smart can be contagious, but it requires a critical mass of guys to get it going. Cedi should be one of those guys even if he doesn't start.
