Bickerstaff and Osman have had numerous conversations throughout the season. A few of them happened recently. Bickerstaff told Osman that he didn’t care about playmaking, shooting, driving or scoring. Bickerstaff just demanded Osman play hard and smart while competing with a sense of urgency required during a playoff push. When Osman does that, not trying to do too much, the Cavs feel he can make a positive impact, similar to last weekend’s home win over Detroit. That night, Osman provided a bench spark following a two-game benching.
His play has been erratic since -- and he was yanked after six uninspiring minutes during Saturday’s loss against Chicago. - Chris Fedor
Sounds like JBB thinks Cedi was trying to do too much; playmaking, shooting, and scoring. JBB just wants him to play hard and smart within the offense. And he apparently isn't seeing the "sense of urgency required during a playoff push".
