The refs tried, they really did. But I can see where the Celtic players would complain. The refs were supposed to give the game to Boston, but for some reason the Cavs still won. It must be frustrating to know that they were supposed to win with help from the refs, and even after the refs game them the benefit of the doubt every time, constantly bailed them out or just made bad calls against the cavs, Boston still lost. It also has to be frustrating for them to get away with fouling all game, and then they get called a couple times for it. Honestly though, what case do they have to complain about the refs?
25-13 on free throws but they are missing their 4-13 from the 3 point line.
I've never been able to figure out why people reference foul shot attempts as ref bias. We heard it in the first round from the Wiz and their fans too. One team took it to the basket fairly often and one was a jump shooting team. You don't draw a lot of fouls against a good defensive team if you're just shooting jump shots.
What's over looked here is that KG camped in the paint on defense almost the entire game. There was a time he pretended to come over to help double team Ben Wallace as if that was his man he was supposed to be guarding. Get real, Ben Wallace has never demanded a double team, it was obvious he was camping the paint and never got called for the obvious 3 second violation. How many times were Boston players bailed out by questionable foul calls, when that never happened for the cavs? How many times did LeBron generate contact without a foul being called? Or what about the ball clearly bouncing out of bounds off KG's shoe but the Celtics getting possession? The refs did all they could to give the game to Boston. From no calls to wrong calls, Boston more than got the "benefit of the doubt". Them complaining about the refs is laughable.
not to mention 90% of the time KG has the ball he travels, he takes like 5 steps. Seriously go rewatch some of his playsI've never been able to figure out why people reference foul shot attempts as ref bias. We heard it in the first round from the Wiz and their fans too. KG can do no wrong in the refs' eyes - despite camping out in the lane constantly, traveling on a lot of his moves to the hoop, and his constant hacking that almost never gets called. I used to respect him as a player - now I just despise him. The fact that the Celts are even complaining about the officials at this point is completely ridiculous.
I had the strangest thought last night. Getting Kendrick Perkins in foul trouble could be the key to game seven. The fall off from Perkins to anyone else is huge.
