Well classes have started back up, for those of you who are college students, how hard is it to get back into the grind?

Things are a little different for me this year, my first three years of school I was an athlete, so really...my mind was already set on the school year as I was working out and preparing for the basketball season so I was always by the school and waiting for the season to start.

This year, I am no longer playing basketball and I am working full time and it's just sitting there waiting for me to start and I cant get to it.

I had such high goals for myself for school and my basketball career, but they were shot down by things out of my control and the school has left a really sour taste in my mouth. Me and the President don't get along at all, my biggest goal of becoming an Academic All-American (I have a 3.8 overall GPA) is out the window and I am having a really hard time setting goals for myself because of what was taken away and my distaste for the school.

I could have went else where to continue my basketball career, but with only two years of eligibility left, only D3 schools were offering. I turned down Hiram, Lake Erie College and Geneva College...they only offered $25,000 of an education that cost upwards of $35,000. I pay for school on my own so I couldnt afford it. Despite the situation at my school, they were honoring scholarships so I decided to stay....

But it's just so tough, with all the circumstances, to get my focus and to get going in my classes.

Since I am working full time, I am taking all my courses online and Ive taken a good portion of them this way and it is really a real test of self motivation. It's a ton of reading but for the most part, it is easy...I just cant get started.

Blah..

I start my first classes tomorrow at Lakeland, the weight room is pretty nice so I'll life after class...hopefully things go well and I can get a solid job out of it after I transfer to a 4 year school.

I only have 1 online class, the other 3 are at the main campus and the East in Madison.

My classes don't start till Tuesday (the 4th) at Ohio University. I'm moving back down on the 30th. I'm taking the usual 4 classes (16 credit hours). Can't wait to watch the Bobcats terror up the MAC.

:vio:

:chuckles: JK. I hear you. I'm contemplating going back and getting my MBA, taking online classes and what not. My life is so sweet right now, I hate to mess with it, but it would be good for my career. I need to find the motivation myself.

Getting ready for class...not overly thrilled..a little nervous actually. Blah

School sucks, well the homework and tests do. I want to work full time at my current J.O.B. grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Today was sweet...math was a breeze and my history teacher gave us a syllabus told us not to look at porn when we're on our laptops and let us out 20 minutes into a 1hr and 15 minute class :chuckles:

Only negative was driving through the construction on I-90 :thumbdown

Yeah dude lakeland is a breeze, or really college in general. Study your book, do your homework and study for tests and you'll be good. Get you english comps outta the way asap

The construction on 90 shouldn't be bad for you cdt depending when you're traveling. They have been working on that stretch for at the least 8 months now.

I'm getting on 90 off of 528 in Madison, it's not the worst, I just hate when people tailgate me when I'm doing 65 in a 55

I work fulltime and take classes at night, next year im transfering down to Mississippi for 2 years, getting a degree, then come back to my current job and try to get a higher paying position.

Back to school sucks man. Although I am only going part time with mostly online classes it still sucks. Working 50 hours a week during the summer with just that really limited my time to do anything. Now I will have no life.

Hoping to get all the crappy basic classes for my degree done at Tri-C then goto either OSU or Kent if I can't afford to live down in OSU.

Your life is down hill from here.:chuckles:

It is, Im struggling man. Ive only gotten through two chapters in one of my Finance classes and I havent even gotten to my other two. Online sucks in the sense you gotta teach yourself everything.

See I am good at that. I was the kid who slept through school looked at the few pages in the book and can learn it for the test. Thats why I can do a hell of a lot better online then at a class. Especially since I can do it in my underwear

Thank god you can still get into sales with an English degree. Shit you can get into sales with no degree whatsoever actually. I fvcking hated school so much.
