Myles is more important to this team winning games than Chubb. If only because the drop-off from Chubb to Hunt isn’t as bad as from Myles to Porter Gustin.
I respectfully disagree. Either way, No reason for a loss tomorrow and if we do, I don’t see it happening because Garrett is out. W shave plenty of beef on the DLine to get all over Wentz. That OLine they have isn’t all that great.

Myles has an argument to be the best edge defender in the league.

Chubb only helps in the rushing game--an area where the running back isn't even the most important skill group (offensive line is, by a wide margin) plus the drop-off from Chubb to Hunt is not as large as the gap between Garrett and Gustin.

The on-field value of the two isn't even close.

Myles may be the most important guy on the team given how it is constructed, although it probably still is the QB. But I agree with @JDailey23 that we should still beat these guys. Other teams have been missing guys all year from this thing, and whining about it makes us look like petulant bitches.

How does the phrase go, the three most important positions are the QB, the guy who protects the QB, and the guy who sacks the QB?

Myles is pretty much the only valuable player in our scheme. Denzel, unfortunately, is largely mitigated by Joe Woods.

Meh, I dunno, maybe some people are whining. I think plenty of people are just in, "I know how this team has been the past two decades, I'm not getting my hopes up unless they prove themselves on the field" mode. At least speaking for myself. Overall, our defense has been damn near awful outside of Myles and Ward (besides a handful of average to above average guys some games). Not a lot of reason to be stoked about that side of the ball today. Would love to be pleasantly surprised today!

The defense likely won't be as good...though sometimes something like this fires up the other guys and they outperform expectations. But Philly is not a good team, and we're 6-3. Our offense should move the ball well. Other than Myles, we're pretty healthy on the defensive side of the ball also.

I dunno -- it just seems like such a downer talking ourselves into a kind of "woe is me" attitude, at home, going up against a team that is just 3-5-1.

Damp field, but virtually no wind so far today. We should be able to move the ball. I want to see 30 on the good guys board today.

Time for Wentz to GET HIS FILL of this STACKED line.

I understand overall, but I was referring to today’s game. I think Chubb is more important to this offense and shitty weather conditions than Garrett is. I think our DLine will do fine without him against the Eagles and Jags.

That's just a good grind it out, take care of business against a scrappy but not really good team win.

With BAL losing to TEN, you essentially lock yourself into the playoffs with a win on MNF December 14th and eliminate them. With how much they've embarrassed us in recent years that would be the sweetest victory since the team came back in 1999. Mark your calendars.
