I’m willing to play too. I won’t ask for more than the vet min.
a 34 year old who hasn’t been good in 10 years wants to play
he probably wouldn’t even make the PS. I wonder if he’s been training.
I don't disagree.. but I think it's too early to say baker is fixed.. What got fixed offensively is the run game, where our two pro bowl level runners punished the defense. IMHO, Baker did not play star ball. He did his job mostly, but that's not the same.. If he gets his swagger back, we will be in every game regardless..I agree it was a mostly ugly win on the defensive side of the ball. On the bright side, they didn't give up anything deep, and had good run defense. They were just obliterated in the short passing game.
I'd take that kind of offensive performance 10/10. Dominant run, and a massive 9.5 YPA on passing plays. That's a high bar.
Probably the browns greatest achievement since returning in 99’.Still can't believe we got that motherfucker on the cover of Madden.

To me, "fixed" implies a permanent solution, and we're clearly not there. But I think that what we saw last night was plenty good enough if he can do it comsistently. So that's what I'd say needs to be shown moving forward - consistently playing as well as he did last night.
Yeah, can’t call a guy “fixed” after one game against what might wind up being the worst defense in the league.
However, we don’t need Baker to win games for us. He doesn’t have to be a “game manager” necessarily, but with our line and RBs he just has to not make dumb, costly mistakes like he did much of last year. Some of that falls on play calling putting him in the right spots, but most of it falls on Baker not being careless with the football.
Browns will fall out of quite a few games this year because of the defense, but the running game should be able to keep them in striking distance as long as Baker plays within himself and trusts the line.
