Cleveland Browns 2021 Regular Season: RIP

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Also @Amherstcavsfan suggested that Joe Woods call the game from the booth and I couldn't agree more. I sit in the upper level at about the 40 yard line and I just don't think Woods is seeing the field the same from the sideline as far as making adjustments go.

I always though that DC's who stay on the sidelines are more of the emotional type of coaches who are always in the players faces talking and communicating but I don't know if Joe Woods is a rah rah type guy like that. I think if you put him in the booth he'll mix it up more and call a better game.

People get antsy every play he doesn't sack the QB.

Literally every single team in the NFL would love to have Garrett. He's arguably the best DE in football.

The people saying Myles is acting like a JAG out there have as much credibility as you when you said we should trade away all our draft picks for Russell Westbrook.

It's also ironic that Clowney was brought in and people expected these two big time sack guys when Clowney isn't really a sack specialist and Myles despite missing some games is still one of the league leaders in sacks since entering the league.

Also That's MVP Russell Westbrook. Put some respect on his name thank you.

The only play I vividly remember where Myles wasn’t chipped/doubled was the play he was held or he would have murdered Tyrod Taylor.

One play.

How many of y'all were at the game yesterday. I was there and the reason why I asked is because I don't understand this narrative around Myles Garrett being invisible out there.

Is it just me or is it not very obvious that he's out there all the time? He has a huge impact on the game.

So I do this thing before every snap on defense where I always check our coverage and I pay attention to Myles right before the snap. I always do this because he simply can't be guarded. I always watch how the other team tries to slow him down. I know it sounds bias but he gets held more than any player in the league lololololololol I swear. He's in the backfield more times than not on his plays. He's pushing the line back and setting a new pocket for the QB on almost every play.

Myles Garrett is always out there impacting the game in ways that can't simply be read in a box score. I can't tell you how many times Myles has the LT 4 yards deep in the pocket and he causes the entire pocket to move by himself. Some times the QB will anticipate Myles getting there and he'll roll out before Myles gets in the backfield so it won't go in the stat book as a QB pressure. So looking back on it people will say that they don't notice him out there and honestly being there in person, that's just a silly statement to me. How can you miss him? He's the most physically imposing player on the field and it feels like opposing teams know this and they have a game plan to account for him on every single play but since he's not racking up sacks he looks invisible.

I will also add that Clowney has been very active out there too. he covers so much ground for a guy his size. The thing with Clowney and the reason why I think he's so good at stopping the run is you simply can't get around him. he's too athletic and skilled so you have to pretty much go through him which is why he's so good at stopping the run. You're not going to hit the edge on Clowney and he's athletic enough to chase you down if you run inside. He gets down the line as fast as any player in the league.

I just can't buy in to any conversations about Myles being a non factor out there. he is absolutely a factor. He could easily draw 5 flags every game. Easily.
No counting stats. Most fans can’t think outside of a box score or highlight replay.

Great stats.

I'm fine with the number of passing attempts. There was no reason to make him heave the ball in the second half after the should hit, loss of Jarvis, and playing an opponent known for a soft running defense.

Not only that but the simplistic approach — and patience of — Stefanski. The run game was a bit stagnant in the early goings and Kev didn’t abandon it nor did his approach to it change. Once it developed momentum, he just stayed with it since Houston couldn’t do fuck all about it.

if I a team literally can’t stop your running backs there’s essentially no reason to stop going to it especially if you’re leading.

At this point I’m starting to suspect he isn’t back until late October; I base this off nothing I’ve read or heard; just that comment about him not being comfortable yet — I can’t imagine that abruptly changed within a week.

As suspected but glad it's not far worse
