While the name Nakia is unusual, we shouldn't make fun of him. He comes to us with a very impressive track record having dominated the mobile phone industry for over a decade.

The Njoku contract is a bit rich within the context of his inconsistent production to this point and how he's being paid vs other top TEs.. But, the structure of the contract allows the Browns to get out pretty easily, pretty quickly if things go south -- the deal is a two-year deal with two team options..

The Browns backed themselves into a bit of a corner by not signing or drafting a TE... While they may be going away from 2-3 TE looks, only having Njoku and Bryant on the roster made bringing Njoku back an almost guarantee..

Njoku has never had a QB like Watson before and Watson has never had a TE like Njoku before, so combined with the fact Njoku could realistically be the #2 or #3 target in the passing game, the opportunity for Njoku is there..

But we have Brad
Most fuckable of the bunch, tbh.

It's pretty common practice for Berry. The contract terms always makes the money worth it.

Sure, but Njoku is also one of the most explosive TE's in the passing game in the league. With the passing game likely to be vastly expanded with both talent and opportunities, Njoku made a ton of sense to retain.

To be honest with you, I think there could be an argument for Njoku to be the #1 target even over Cooper. 26 freak athletic TE's who lead the NFL in TE explosive plays don't grow on trees. I expect him to a top 5 TE this year.

Personally, I think Berry just really likes Njoku. He made it a priority to get him to rescind the trade request when Berry first got hired as GM and then waived Hooper in order to franchise tag Njoku and then give him a bag. It's clear the team believes in his talent and thinks that, in a more pass happy offense with more targets, he'll excel.

Njoku is going to be a beast with Watson. Watson loves his TE's from the film I've seen. Guy has had nobodies that the position too.

i remember he said he played the nose in colllege because it was asked of him and he claimed misuse. Just tells us he is already hearing what he wants about penetrating and rushing.
