I didn't watch the game.

Did Keenum play well?

I thought it was pretty bad. He had an awful fumble that was turned into a TD, he threw a horrible pick in the endzone. He couldnt get the ball down field.

He threw under allot, which isnt a bad thing, but it was a very controlled, safe, boring offense that will never lead to a victory against a better team

The pick was tipped. It was a bad read, but the top made it look really, really bad.

Not really.

He's a 10-year veteran who generally knows how to quickly diagnose coverages pre and post snap. The scheme stuff that Stefanski likes - the play action stuff, the boot stuff, the leak out stuff - Keenum can run all of that and get the ball out on time and target for the most part.

But that's truly all he can do. There's really nothing else there. He doesn't have the arm strength to attack down the field at all. And I don't mean deep balls, the guy just doesn't have the arm to even consistently attack the intermediate areas unless the receiver is wide open.

He's just an extremely low ceiling quarterback. You can only scheme horizontal stuff for so long and maintain success. Better defenses will inevitably eat it alive.

Take another look at that pick, it didn’t get talked about because it was tipped, but even if it wasn’t, I have absolutely no idea who that ball was going to and it likely gets picked anyways.

For 6 mill I would cut Keenum at this point. He doesnt give us much more than mullens who is a vet min guy.

I feel like it was a miscommunication between Keenum and the two TEs because tipped or not, it didn't appear that pass was to either of them.

Seems very likely he will not be on the roster in 2022. Feels like the Browns can get the same production from Mullens (or someone else) for under $1M.

Under a mil? Not sure, about a mil, sure

Cincinnati's backup QB sure looked like crap today.

Hope they know what they're doing. Alot of vet or disgruntled QB options that can step right in will be available for the right prices. Houston also appears finally ready to deal Watson and move on to next season.

We can win the Super Bowl next season with good health and Jimmy G. He should be available this off-season. Maybe find a way to dump Baker to NO and take a player and a pick back from them. Get Jimmy G and draft a QB with our second or third pick.

Jimmy G isn’t very good. He had 1 nice drive to tie the game that was largely influenced by Deebo being a freak. He was so inaccurate constantly missing wide open receivers, while playing with elite playmakers and one of/if not the most WB friendly offense in the league.

It's funny, because despite the rap he gets he ranked 3rd (!) in EPA/per play this year and ranks 7th over a three-year span.. QBR has him 14th this year and was 12th in 2019 when he last played a full season.. His career TD% is also higher than Baker's and career INT% is lower.. His career QB rating is also 12 points higher than Baker's...

The biggest difference with Jimmy G and Baker is Baker has the arm and mentality to push the ball down field... Jimmy G's yards per attempt have consistently been above Baker's throughout their careers but Jimmy G's air yards are among the league's lowest..

If the Browns are looking for a bridge QB until next season, I think Jimmy G can be an upgrade over Baker...
