We still number 1 even without the flukey 6 at the end of the Steelers game. Noice.
And our defense or special teams haven't scored us points like some of those teams.

Part of me has wondered just how much we can improve with Watson.

Our offense feels like it scores at will. It definitely hasn't been the problem through three weeks.

Also, I can't understate how impressed I am with the coaching and QB play so far. We laid out what our ideal offense would be. I questioned how we'd be able to run the open offense that Watson thrives in while having Brissett under center.

We're doing it. We're doing it a lot, and it's awesome.

I would say the two main areas where the offense can improve are...

1. Watson's ability and willingness to pull the trigger on the deeper shots down the field that Brissett either doesn't see or is too timid to attempt.

2. Watson's mobility allowing him to create more plays - both with his legs as a runner and as a passer in scramble drills - than Brissett is able to create.

But otherwise? It's hard to be much better than Brissett has been the last two games in the 0-15 yard range from the pocket. He's been absolutely deadly.

Cautiously optimistic, but we're also doing this against pretty mediocre competition in the first 3 games..

Yeah I've wondered the same.

I think sustainability and the ability to counter defensive adjustments is where the upside lies.

But it's becoming clear that Stefanski's offensive approach is as elite as it comes.

In an ideal world once Watson knocks some rust off, I'd like to see us have the explosive passing game of the Buffalo Bills layered over our current ground attack which will be leveraged when playing with the lead. It's hard to fathom.

Stefanski with RPO plays will be deadly.

Also, through 3 games we were usually leading and/or within a few points. We've always been a threat to run on the ground.

If we get down by a couple TDs (could be due to anything - fumbles, special teams, stupid penalties, etc...) and we're forced to pass, we might see a few more Brisket warts. Not to take anything away from my man - he has been GREAT within 15 yards against zone. But we'll need someone more dynamic if we're going to reach the Super Bowl.

Cool thing about Deshaun is that he's also happy to take the easy 5-10 yard passes if the defense gives it to him amidst his shots/hero plays. There's a reason why his efficiency is so damn good.
