It's incredible (or incredibly sad) how much my Monday mood is dictated by the Browns' performance. 5-2!! Even with a crushing loss though, being invested in games these last few years sure is better than the apathy I felt from late 2014-2017.

Bruh... I'm just resigned to not getting any work done on the Mondays following a victory.

John Ross III is an actual realistic target. You just have to worry about his hands, durability, and the fact he kinda sucks. Cincy could certainly use the draft pick though.
I have a really hard time seeing Cincy trading in-division. Particularly for a player like Ross who will offer little return. No sense in helping a division foe with no real opportunity for benefit coming back.

I'm seeing a lot of "blessing in disguise" type posts, and I can't understand that at all. There is no blessing for the team to have it's most talented offensive player hurt. No addition by subtraction. This is just subtraction by subtraction.

I don't see a headcase like some do. He has never been in trouble with the law, wants to win about as much as any player in the league, and not a single teammate I have ever heard has complained about him. We see a guy who colors his hair, screams at players to motivate him, gets angry when they don't win and think headcase, but I just have never thought that was true.

We have talent at WR to cover this loss, but it is a loss for sure.

I believe DPJ can play that role?

He did run about the same 40 time as OBJ, Brashard ran a stupid 4.25. Both OBJ and DPJ ran in the 4.4's.

The difference between all 3 is OBJ has incredible acceleration which is why he is the most explosive of the 3 by far.

Side note, Hodge is our fastest receiver, he ran a 4.39, still rather see DPJ in that role.

I know its not a ligament or limb injury, but its still cutting you open and taking out a useless body part. Cant imagine a reason to rush him back before the bye week especially for his own safety.

Higgins hasnt gotten much playing time through two regimes now. Why is that? Is he not showing well in practice?

Guy gets on the field and catches everything and has the qb's trust. Hope he stays on the field even though Hodge will be coming back.

It's a mystery. I think he practices hard since Stefanski mentioned it (who knows if it was just coach speak). My guess is that it's related to blocking. Half our plays have been running plays and guys like Hodge and DPJ have been heavily praised for their run blocking, so that's the only thing I can think of.

Bengals fan here.

7th rounder could easily get you John Ross.

Right now we value him about as much as an empty beer can within the stadium.

Mike Brown still won't do it though

Wait, what? The dude who beat his kid so badly with a switch that he lacerated his scrotum isn't a head case?
You're not gonna beat the narrative at this point. Best to just ignore the people who continue claiming OBJ is a diva, cancer, etc. Let them wallow in their own cesspool of ignorance.
