Higgins hasnt gotten much playing time through two regimes now. Why is that? Is he not showing well in practice?

Guy gets on the field and catches everything and has the qb's trust. Hope he stays on the field even though Hodge will be coming back.

As good as Higgins played, I believe there were two instances yesterday where he clearly didn't know where he was supposed to be lined up on a given play and Baker was forced to call a timeout.

Maybe he's not a hard worker in the film room. I don't really know. Hard to say.

I know its not a ligament or limb injury, but its still cutting you open and taking out a useless body part. Cant imagine a reason to rush him back before the bye week especially for his own safety.
Laproscopic surgery reduces incisions to a very small size. NFL players have returned to play in less than a week, but 10-14 days is common. Matt Cassel and Roethlisberger both returned in less than two weeks, so I'd say there is a chance for Hooper this week. If not, he certainly should be 100% after the bye.

bingo. If you and I had it, it be no lifting for ten days. There’s no reason that an NFL pro is waiting any longer than we are.

Maybe COVID protocols could be delaying how fast he can get back on the field. I think players have to have 5 consecutive negative test in a number of days before they are allowed to even practice. Having the bye next week might put Hooper barely on track to practice this week so they probably won't rush him.

I get it, I understand the medical part, but seems silly to rush a guy back. If he is ready i guess move forward, but with the bye week being the next week giving him an additional 2 weeks, why risk anything for one game.

You're not gonna beat the narrative at this point. Best to just ignore the people who continue claiming OBJ is a diva, cancer, etc. Let them wallow in their own cesspool of ignorance.
What? That’s not what I was implying at all. I am a huge OBJ fan and think he’s a great leader on this team. Just concerned where he will be mentally. He’s very hard on himself. He talked about retirement after he broke the ankle in New York. Now another major injury after all the talk of his tenure with the Browns being lackluster over the last two years and I’m concerned.

Hooper's best asset is his physical run and pass blocking. I don't think he is going to be out there unless he is ready for big collisions.

I agree. TE's use their core almost as much as a lineman, much more than a QB. No need to rupture your colon to come back in 10 days when missing the next game gives you 24 days rest.

Well if the guy who got hurt trying to hurt the team’s best player in practice, has been horrid against the run for two seasons, and still can’t read a misdirection says it, then it must be true!

Done spoiling fun. I’m glad it sounds like the team is behind Baker.
