So...this is supposed to be a top notch facility..we see the commercials and read the newspaper articles but what have they done for our sports franchises?

Larry Hughes went in for finger surgery...2 months later the screws loose..it's ****ed and they have to do it again knocking him out until the playoffs..

Operated on Bentleys torn patella tendon...a staph infection and a virtually non-existant tendon later...he's scheduled for another surgery..and most likely shelved for 07.

Anyone know where Z's slew of surgeries were performed at? I'm curious to know whether they were at the Clinic as well..he missed a ton of games and had multiple surgeries. It'd seem fitting that they would be botched at the Clinic and had to be patch worked several times after the fact costing him mobility and the chance to play.

Let's pray to god LeBron never needs a surgery because if it's done here he's probably going to come out with breasts :thumbdown

My family won a pretty large settlement against them for my father's death.

I mean they have some pretty nice accomplishments but in regards to our pro athletes they're consistantly botching surgeries..and harboring an unacceptable level of cleanliness in regards to the outburst of staph infections in the last few years..

My dad had a seizure disorder and went to the clinic to get it investigated. They tested him and everything but for some reason never medicated him. He died about 4 months after he left the clinic. We sued them for quite a bit of money and ended up settling out of court.

I have the same thing he does and I've had several seizures of my own. I've been medicated since the first one though.

Are you or was your father Epileptic? My dad has epilepsy and it's a very sad disease...he goes to see a neurologist every so often is on some heavy medication that keeps him from having seizures..

Back in 01 he had a seizure while driving and hit a telephone pole..collapsed a lung broke some ribs tore his mouth up to his ear and had some organ bruising...

He wanted to be a pilot coming out of HS but they wouldn't clear him because of it..

Mike Gansey also had a battle with Staph when trying out with the Heat. He got cut because of it and he has just now finally fully recovered.

For those who don't know, he is from Olmsted Falls and played basketball for the WVU Moutaineers. Not sure if he was ever at the Clinic but thought it was strange another local person had a bad case of it...

I work in IT for the Clinic and I've been saying this for a while. Someone needs to look into the entire campus and find the possible connections for all the staph infections.

The report in yesterday's PD also linked Gansey to the Clinic - not sure if he had any surgery done there but it definitely said he was in there at some point.

I'm in an office away from patients and have no connection to the medical side of things there but it's odd that no one is really speaking up about all the recent problems.

And Jigo, I'm sorry to hear about your father. That is a heartbreaking story.

Well it's my stepdad...

I have no idea who my real father is..never met em. He told my mom to have an abortion or leave and she left. Never sent me a card or anything..all I know is from pictures, stories and the time he called me in 4th grade to ask if I'd donate some of my bone marrow.

I'm eventually going to find out some of his medical history though before having children to look for any potential red flags..

Not sure what my step dad takes..I'll ask him..

The worst ones are called grandmal seizures..my dad had one..you just go down and shake very violently...most often people are severely injured from the initial fall or hitting themselves on something...

My step dad had one when I was 7 and I made him a bed of pillows and blankets and move the furniture around him and woke my mom up.
