CDT's Keys To Vic-Tor-Y

* First off let me express my pure and undivided hatred for this franchise. From Richard Jeffersons' ear to scalp ratio, to the two quitters in Vince " I play when I want " Carter to Jeff " Pouty Pants " McInnis. And some more incentive in facing former Cavalier Lamond Murray.

* Attack the bucket, Nenad will cause problems for young Andy Veryjoe so if LeBron Larry and Flip can rack a few fouls up and get him out of the game and ol' man Robinson in the game that would be very very good. I won't give him too much credit though, Andy is like a mosquito and we're talking about a guy named "Nad" :chuckles:

* Don't sweat the streak! So what they've won 14 in a row, who cares? In a week or so all of our records will be ( 0 - 0 ) So why not get that "playoff" mindframe in gear now?

* Play transition defense, Jason Kidd likes to run and gun with his swingmen highflyers in Carter and Jefferson. Slow Kidd down and you will slow the Nets fastbreak game down and keep the crowd out of it.

In conclusion and without a moment to spare..

Tough transition defense on Jason Kidd will have him looking like this. Reminiscent of a deer in headlights..and will prompt him to go home and beat his wife, much like he did the day this picture was taken.

CDT Prediction: Cavaliers 104 Nets 99 The Nets are rolling, they are at home, we don't have Zydrunas and Hughes is still trying to find his niche with this ballclub. BUT LeBron James will have a monster game and somehow pull this one out, good overall effort from the bench gets it done.

lol, I like the picture of the coach. lol

But we will lose. NJ is just too crazy right now.

This is going to come down to the bench. Jones or Marshall is going to have to step up and hit something from beyond the arc. Hughes might see more time than usual, being brought out to guard RJ or Vince. Kidd will give Snow a hard time too, this is a very hard team to match up against 1-3.

Key to stopping these guys is to make them beat you with jumpers, which they are more than capable of doing, but its better to have Kidd shooting 20 footers than throwing up Alley-oops to Vince. We gotta just shut down the driving lanes and clog it up. Carter tends to play out of his mind against the Cavs (like Kobe, AI, C-Webb, Keith Bogans, and Jamal Crawford generally do) so get ready for a long day.

If Jeff Mcinnis sees any time, that can only be good for the Cavs. I'm not sure if hes actually made a shot yet playing against the Cavs this season.

Huge Game! This one has playoff-intensity even before the opening tip. Both with close records and playing great lately, and big plans for the post-season.. Of NJ's 3 studs, Im most concerned about Carter. Will LBJ check him?

I think the NY loss was a fluke loss, and the fans will see a team like from the Philly game. Should be high-flying fun!

1 hour till the tip, boy I sure hope no crazy maniac attacks the Nets starters on the way into the building..

OH MAN... No Zydrunas again? I see us starting off slow because we usually start off the game going inside to Z. Right now, we don't have that factor in the middle... unless Drew Gooden's baby hook starts to fall this game, I see us playing catch up all afternoon.

Man...what a bummer about the site $$, and right at playoffs time. I hope we can pool enough to keep the site open. I'm out of work right now too but I gave a few bucks on paypal. Please donate if you can guys.

Oh, and go Cavs, beat New Jersey

I hate to say it but we are poised to get steamrolled. These guys are rolling- they don't have the toughness they did with Kenyon Martin but this is an efficient team.

Gooden opens the game posting up twice- good boy Drew.

If we attack like this all game LIKE I SAID WE SHOULD IN THE PREVIEW..we will win.

And a 10 foot jumper by Drew. All 6 points are his. 6-5 Cavs.
AV goes inside. 8-5 us.

Drew must have read RCF!

Vince and Lebron trade jumpers, Vince for 3, Lebron just inside the line. 10-8 CLE

LeBron doing what gets us out of games. Gooden and Varejao attacking James figures he'll chuck. Awesome

This is the ugliest, darkest, most unappealing arena in the NBA...
