Pardon me for saying so but this is hilarious in my opinion.

Curry is obviously not a character guy and he is going to want a payday. I hope he gets 9 million a year for 5 years...I hope the Knicks get rid of Trevor Ariza (a young, cheap talent).

This is so ridiculous to me. The Knicks will have Curry and James, both renowned for being lazy. Then you have Marbury and Crawford, two arrogant chuckers. Brown is going to lose it. He will absolutely lose it. This is going to be one volatile situation.

Guarantee sometime during the season Curry and James are going to slip off to an all night New York buffet and come to practice carrying 20 extra pounds a piece.

Knicks Land Curry

3rd October, 2005 - 8:44 pm
AP - The Chicago Bulls dealt center Eddy Curry to the New York Knicks on Monday, ending a contentious negotiation in which the team insisted the restricted free agent take a DNA test over a heart problem.

In making the announcement, an obviously frustrated Bulls general manager John Paxson did not specify what the Bulls got in return and he did not field questions.

"We will have an announcement tomorrow morning," Bulls public relations director Sebrina Brewster said Monday night. "All we can say right now is we traded Eddy to the Knicks."

The Knicks did not immediately return messages seeking comment.

I dont care who the trade is for, NY lose. Even Curry for Bruno Sundov, the Knicks lose.

Oh man, this is better than I could have hoped for.

Jerome James and Eddy Curry in NY! Arrogant Kobe, still running the team!! Brown is going to go crazy!!!

Kwame Brown in LA! Arrogant Marbury, still running the team!! Jackson is going to go crazy!!!

This is going to be the great NBA season EVER!!!

Eddy Curry missing time for Chicago gave them the confidense to make their finals charge. I guess he is the Stephen Marbury of centers. Might put up good numbers, but wont win you a game.

I think unless the Bulls get the players they really want from NY, the trade may be a lateral move for Chicago at best. Even if it doesn't hurt them, it probably won't make them win more games.

If Curry and Chandler were one player, you'd have an MVP calibur type of player. As many flaws as Curry has, he gives them a true low post presence with scoring. Without Curry, you saw in the playoffs against Washington (not a great big man team by any means), the Bulls had trouble scoring points. They seemed to start a little slow each game.

The way Paxson handled the DNA test and the contract forced things to a breaking point. I'm under the belief things never had to reach this point. A trade to NY wasn't the only solution to this big mess.

Chicago played better without Curry period. He is a terrible fit to any team that needs a center who knows what end of the court you play defense, and if they see rebounding as a role of a big man.

It is best to get rid of lockeroom problems, and that is what Curry was...and he was going to be a damn expensive one too. Bulls are better. Would you want Curry on the Cavs? I wouldn't...he is not worth the headache.

It depends on what the Knicks gave up. If it's not that much than Curry is worth the risk. He's still young and hasn't reached his potential yet. I don't think Curry is a bad guy, he's just still immature.

Curry isn't the greatest player and I'm not a huge fan of his but even with the deficiencies in his game he's still better than half the starting C's in the NBA right now. The biggest risk is the health issue he has. Larry Brown might be the coach who can get him to get closer to the potential he has. Of course if Curry still shows some laziness than Brown might want to get rid of him.

Curry worked in Chicago because Chandler is Mr. Defense. When Mr. Defense and Mr. Offense were on the court together, they blended well by doing what the other could not. I wonder how Chicago's offense is going to look. Who is their go-to scorer now? You saw how off-key they were in the playoffs. I'm not sure if offense by committe will work for an entire season. Is Gordon the man now or is Deng (who is very underrated)? If there is no #1 option, offense may be a problem.

The Bulls agreed to trade center Eddy Curry to the New York Knicks on Monday, ending a contentious negotiation in which Chicago insisted the restricted free agent take a DNA test over a heart problem.

Chicago also sent veteran center Antonio Davis to the Knicks, who traded away forwards Tim Thomas, Michael Sweetney and Jermaine Jackson. Several draft choices also changed hands in the deal , according to an executive in the Eastern Conference who spoke on condition of anonymity.

If this is true, Chicago has a gaping hole at center now. This trade may push the team dangerously close to the lottery.

Well Curry was black hole on offense and non existent on defense.

Chicago do have Harrington and Chandler who can play center, with new recruit Darius Songaila combing at power forward with Sweetney and Thomas. Malik Allen too can play either front court position. So overall they are in a decent position in their front court.

This could help a team like Milwaukee.. The bulls lost alot on the inside and by doing this they will not be as good as last years squad..

I don't think Tim Thomas is going to work.. The guy has McGrady like skills with a Darius Miles type or work ethic..The Bulls were a tough team that buckled down on the defensive side of the court..

Tim Thomas does not provide that..

He is a SF, why would you take time away From NOCH and DENG for Thomas ?

DENG can give you what Thomas can 12-15pts 4-7rbs 3-5ast

And Noch will give you the D..

This deal doesn't make sense... Sweetney is a solid pickup, but they should have gotten Ariza or Lee in return as well..

The Bulls got fleeced big time... They better have another deal in their back pocket..

I guess the Bulls got a slew of draft picks or something, remember new york got 2 1sts last season 1 from sa and one from soemeone else.
