Mavericks Notes
The Mavericks are one of the best teams in the league, challenging San Antoinio for the #1 seed in the West. They are led by Dirk Nowitzki, a legitimate MVP candidate. They play @ Detroit the night before the Cavs game. Devin Harris is out with injury, Adrian Griffin and Josh Howard are doubtful with injuries.

Cavaliers Notes
The Cavaliers are playing well, winners of 5 straight. They have shown they can gut out a win in a competitive game. Marshall and DJones have found their shooting stroke. Cleveland's MVP LeBron James has been fantastic. Cavs need to keep winning to maintain the #4 spot.

HPD's Prediction

Hello...my name is LeBron James...you killed my team in Dallas...Prepare To DIE!!!

Time for REVENGE, after blowing the huge lead in Dallas. The Mavs will be tired after battling with Detroit, while the Cavs have had 2 days rest. Its time for the Cavs to start beating the NBA's elite! Cavs win a competitive game by 10+!!!

cavs did almost and should have beat mavs in dallas and we should win this one... mavs will have a hard faught match in dallas, so we should take this one...

This is our best chance to beat Dallas all year- we're at home on a 5-game win streak, the team knows Larry is coming back soon, and Josh Howard's out. The biggest problem here is Marquis Daniels. Dirk will get his. If Snow can cover Terry and Daniels well enough, we can force streaky Stackhouse to shoot (cold 38% on the year, only 28% on 3s).

If
drew_gooden.jpg
decides he wants to play basketball on 3/29/06 at 7:00 ET @ Quicken Loans Arena. I think we stand a good chance..

I don't see us taking this one unless #23 decides to control the game from the opening tip. None of that I'll turn it on the last 2 mins of each quarter and attack the cup, but the other 10 minutes jack fall away jumpers with 2 on the shot clock.

This is a game that we NEED. The Magic Number is at 1 and the Q will be absolutely rockin' tonight with clinching the playoffs at stake. Dallas is on a back-to-back after a tough loss in Detroit last night. The stars are aligned. The Cavaliers WILL CLINCH a playoff birth tonight with an inspiring performance.

After the game in Dallas, when we were all "doom and gloom", I posted in two threads that we would win out the month. I'm hoping for some rep points after a win tonight.

Cavs pull away in the fourth. Cavs 103 Dallas 92

Z should absolutely destroy Diop. Dampier may pose more of a challenge, but Z has been torching Diop in practice for years. Dirk will get a bunch of points, but the key is not to let guys like Rawle Marshall blow up for careeer games.

This is going to be a tight one, I'll say another Cardiac Cavs game decided by less than 3 points

I am going to make what I think is a "not-so-bold" prediction right now. The Cavaliers will win out for the rest of the month after tonight. Four straight cupcakes at home followed by a trip to play the T-Macless Rockets should translate into 5 in a row. I have a feeling that we will also get Dallas at home at the end of the month.
That was pretty bold...I didn't think we'd get thru both Kobe and Pierce's scoring binges, plus have Z contain Yao. Hopefully your karma pulls us thru tonight.

Dirk is going to kill us for 35 or 40 but I think we will still get a win with LBJ going for 40 as well

I predict that LeBron will reach a new milestone tonight. I expect that he will be the youngest player to reach 6000 points!

He only needs 2 points to get there! Lets hope he scores that and much more!

Thatd be great if we can beat a team like Dallas to get in the playoffs. Gotta keep winning to get the 4 spot and hold off Wash. SHould be a fun one tonite!

There's Elton John again. :(
