Not sure he’ll ever dominate the ball enough to consistently beat out Trae or Luka, but he’s right there as one of the best playmakers in the league.I think Garland is very capable of leading the league in assists. He finished #6 last year. But I think that’s a good goal for him especially if he’s trying to get All-NBA.
DG x Mitchell. #SignMeUp
Exactly!!! I love Mitchell but I’m not giving up either Mobley or DG to get him and definitely not giving more than three firsts in any deal!Me too, but not for 7 first rounders. They'd likely want Mobley too; that conversation can piss right off before it starts.
Or the global standard for stupid... time will tell.Exactly!!! I love Mitchell but I’m not giving up either Mobley or DG to get him and definitely not giving more than three firsts in any deal!
Unfortunately the Wolves set the market with the Gobert trade!
Gobert is also a decisively more valuable player than Mitchell
No, he’s not. Put him on a 40 win Knicks team and nobody will give a rat’s ass.Yes and no. Gobert is more valuable for on the court purposes. Mitchell is vastly more valuable for ticket sales, merchandise sells, and media attention.

That has more to do with the Knicks than Donovan Mitchell. You put him in a Knicks jersey and his jersey will be top 5 in jersey sales.

Any FO giving up extra assets because they think they’ll get more media attention is foolish, and should be fired.
A year after the deal, all that matters is whether or not you’re winning. Donovan Mitchell just doesn’t help you win very much.
We’re talking about Donovan Mitchell here. He’s not driving numbers like that because he’s just not that great. He sells tickets. More fans will attend if Mitchell is on their team. And you may get an extra national game or two because of Mitchell. He's an exciting player who people tune in to watch. No one tunes in to watch Gobert. No one wants a Gobert jersey. In terms of marketability Mitchell is better.
