Deshaun Watson: Third Highest Paid QB in the AFC North (OUT for 2023)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He's not hurting for money :chuckle:

The signing bonus is entirely upfront, yes.

Hurting now, but he has lost allot of money this year because of his own stupidity. Just saying we act like he has got all of the 240 mill, he has got about 20 mill so far, minus taxes and payouts.

I think you're overselling it a tiny bit.

He got fined $5M, he lost about $650K in salary on suspension and he probably paid out another $3.5M in settlements ($150K per settlement approx). Add it all together and he's probably lost about $9M dollars.

His career earnings to date are $96.7M with another fully guaranteed $185M still coming.

So he lost about 8.5% of his career earnings. That's not nothing, but he's fine :chuckle:

Agreed.

You pay out over 50% of your earnings to taxes and agents and such, then you spend money on living, buying houses, boats and hoes.

But i am sure he still has 10-20 million in cash with allot more to come, he is fine.

I'm disappointed in @buzzdog @DatDudeZ3 and @Lee

All this joking about Watson, his contract, and that purse and nobody brought up how he "got the bag" when he signed.

Just like the USMNT, chances in front of the net and you blew it.

Honestly i am pretty done with the jokes about him and what he did wrong and ready to move on.

What he did is not ok, but we have to live with our decisions as far as he is concerned.

If youre feeling worn out from all the jokes...maybe massage is in order? I know someone with some good recommendations...

Feel free to publicly shame me, or put me on ignore.

I'll definitely take the L on this one, I totally missed it. :)

As far as the jokes, etc. (which belong in the other thread btw, my bad for resurrecting it in the football thread)... those are never going away, at least not as long as he proclaims complete innocence with zero explanation. /topic in this thread.

I think Watson's going to show very little rust. He's very aware that everyone expects him to be rusty. I believe he'll figure out some ways to mitigate that, maybe by sticking to a conservative game plan or whatever. I assume and expect Watson, AVP, and KS have something figured out to minimize the signs and symptoms of rust.

I'm shocked, I've never known you to just throw in the towel on a situation like that. I would think you still have a few more jokes you could rub out of this one.

My expectations have Never been higher, and that's what worries me.

I’m so done with these over used message jokes. Like, it was funny and relevant for a while. Now, it’s lazy.
Not a shot at you, but any social media post or tweet and it’s the first thing. So old.
@buzzdog I ran a private poll.

87% of the respondents thought this actually WAS a direct shot at you.

1/4 of the respondents still like massage jokes, in spite of their lack of relevance.

Everyone keep em rollin.
