Detroit Get Tougher

Dale Davis is on the verge of leaving the Indiana Pacers for the second time.

The popular veteran of nine-plus seasons with the Pacers is close to signing a two-year contract with Detroit.

Just like Indiana and Miami, Detroit are making moves to improve their squad. Dale Davis gives them another quality big man to go with the Wallace's Ben and Rasheed, McDyess, and youngsters Milicic and Maxiell. This does however put them out of the running for Sprewell and Finley one would think.

Darko again slides down the depth chart. Don't be surprised to see him voice his displeasure.

This would be a good signing for Detroit. Dale would fit perfectly and seems like he has the Piston character also.

I hear that the Pistons are also looking at Michael Finley. Would it be possible for them to grab both players?

probably. i bet they used their LLE on Davis, and would be willing to use their MLE on Finley.

I don't think Detroit could get both..That is why everybody waits for Finley. If he goes to Detroit, Miami keeps Jones, and we get Davis. If he goes to Miami, Cavs get Jones, Detroit gets Davis. ..

It's a done deal. Davis signed with the Pistons on a 2 year deal.
