Coming in on a 6-game winning streak, the Indians host the Arizona Diamondbacks for the weekend series. The D-Backs took 2 of 3 from the ChiSox and would have swept them if not for a 6th inning collapse in which they allowed nine runs. Pitching match-ups are:

Friday- 7:05 PM- Cliff Lee vs. Brad Halsey
Saturday- 7:05 PM- Scott Elarton vs. Brandon Webb
Sunday- 1:05 PM- Jake Westbrook vs. Shawn Estes

another sweep. this team isnt great and were playing great.

sizemore is really hitting well. another all-star to be.

what a great inning, 10 runs thank god i have tivo. :D

What a great game from the offense. Cliff Lee struggled, but for a change the offense picked him up.

I'm heading to Akron tonight to get my first look at Brad Snyder this season. I'm a little excited about seeing him. For all the buzz around Franklin Gutierrez, he really has yet to impress me in all the games that I've seen.

snyder? rings a bell but forgot who he is. didnt frank hit 3 bombs in a spring training game?

Indians won again 3-2... On a 9 game winning streak... We are on fire!

im at a point now that i think "when are playing next" and i actually get excited about them playing. Earlier in the year this team was hard to watch, but i guess winning changes everything.

westbrook got the win but still got little run support. wickman leads the league in saves, what a change he has made to the bullpen. i said last year if we had him our pen would have been different and this year he has made a huge difference.

hey a mac how crappy is our pen??? i thought you said they would suck yet they are the best in the bigs. go figure. :D

Yea.. this is the first time all year that I'm excited about our next game and I will actually watch it. *sniff* *sniff* I smell playoffs.

Snyder was a first round pick last year out of Ball State, an outfielder with possibly the best power bat in the minors right now for the Tribe. Had a big error in the first inning that cost the Aeros two runs, but came back in the bottom of the first and hit a HR off the fence in dead center, an easy 420' away. Aeros lost badly, but Snyder was quite decent after his error.

The third straight series sweep coming into a series with the Red Sox. Westbrook going eight innings today was huge as it gave the bullpen a chance to rest a little more. They'd been going every other day pretty much, so it was nice to see them get a little break.
