Just got off the phone with Paul Dolan. He has consented to an interview with a Bovine Monday, January 22 at 10am. Here's the deal. There will be NO phone ins for this interview, but I will try to stream it live over the internet so people can listen in. The interview will occur just as Paul has returned from the annual owners meeting in Phoenix. I will update this as I get more information. Leave your questions for the Indians owner in this thread.

Cool, good work Moo. Is Paul going to answer for his dad?

Here are a couple questions off the top of my head:

1) What is the plan of action for the starting rotation if Mark Mulder accepts the 2-year offer he has reportedly received from the Tribe? Will Westbrook then be on the trading block?

2) When are you going to begin negotiating a long-term deal for Travis Hafner? Indians fans are used to their young guys leaving when they become stars (Manny, Thome) and we DO NOT want to see this happen with Pronk.

I had both of those exact questions, so times two on both.

Any updates on the naming of the Stadium for 2007?

How soon can we expect you to sell the team to somebody that would make this team a World Series contender?

When are you going to go out and spend REAL money..like a Carlos Lee esque player...you know the ones you let walk named Manny Jim and soon to be Travis..

The Carlos Lee deal was pretty bad... They overpaid for that guy...

You do realize that we had the 2nd best offense in the league (maybe AL, not sure), last year? We didn't need a HUGE upgrade there... We needed to focus on two things:

Middle infield (2B): Check
Bullpen: Check

We got those things without wasting money and taking calulated risks... I mean, I can see the frustration with not spending money, but in actuality, we did spend money this year... Just not in huge chunks...

The key is the Tribe didn't go overboard spending money. And yes, the Carlos Lee deal was awful. We don't need more offense anyway.

The Tribe was smart not to go out on a big spending spree in the offseason. Look at some of the contracts that were handed out. Are you really disappointed we didn't do this? And keep in mind we need to re-sign Hafner soon. I'd rather pay more to keep him happy. And Dolan better understand that we can't let him leave like everyone has in the past.
