I don't think it crazy say Donovan is the second greatest Cavalier ever.
I don't understand how it was ever otherwise (assuming you count perfornance with Cavs primarily, and exclude end-of-career Shaq/Wade/etc. Yes, it was a bit silly to ever put LeBron's alleged biological father Nate Thurmond even in the discussion of rafter-worthy, as they talked about on 92.3 this past afternoon, for similar reasons. )

Kanye Kyrie had a case for 3rd best but you almost have to ding him for his erratic post-Cavs on-and-off-court.

I had to look the Nate Thurmond rumor up. That's one I've never heard before. He was in his 40's when 16 year old Gloria had LeBron. While that unfortunately does happen, man would Thurmond have taken a lot of heat.

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed that this is his dad.

Well, bigger things go under wraps for longer (the whole Karl Malone thing has never, technically, been confirmed to not be his brothers, and in SC even though basically everyone knew about Strom Thurmond, it would've been a scandal to openly claim it during his life.)

Anthony McClelland is, yes, generally considered the most likely (the alleged LeBron half-brother from another mother and, I think, him, being even more of a doppelganger has me convinced) but Roland Bivens makes sense also.

Has there any report on how his groin is feeling?

The Lauri talk in here was amusing.

You need playoff performers and superstars to win titles.

Lauri is neither.

It is much easier to find good shooting at the position Donovan plays than at the position Lauri plays. That's what makes it an interesting debate even if Mitchell is the "better" player.

This is true, but the only guy shooting better than Mitchell at the guard position at that volume is Steph.

Why does he keep slipping?

Because groins take a very long time to heal, he wont be 100% until next season. He will need the offseason for treatment and fully heal.

That also is true, but getting strong shooting from the frontcourt spreads the floor differently/better than it does if your strong shooting comes only from the backcourt.

Kyrie stat wise is a bit better at equal volume, Dame and Jaylen Brown are both right there, Dame a little less percentage wise at higher volume and Brown a little bit higher percentage at a tick lower volume. The surprising one is Brunson, for the last 2 months he's arguably been the best guard in the NBA. Time will tell if it's a mirage or not.

It’s his bobblehead tonight, which since I’ve shared a few times my collection, means I will be there.

As much as I want him to play on his night when I will be there, if there is any risk of extending or worsening the injury, it makes no sense to play him.
