Dwyane Wade: Back to Riley (#CavsLifer)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If we sign Wade, the Cavs become a very veteran team with many physical questions. The chances of all these guys staying healthy for an entire season would be slim to none. So a deep roster could become valuable.

But, their goal would be clear. The Fellowship of the Ring.

Manage the minutes. They'll hold up

I certainly did not mean THAT guy...

Not much different age wise than today.

If we add him, Calderon or RJ likely go. Each of them is the same age as Wade.

We'd be no more a vet/older team than SAS, HOU, GS

The majority of our offseason additions were under 30: IT, Crowder, Rose, Cedi, Zicic

Jeff Green is just 31.

I totally forgot that Rose is under 30, because this will be his 10th year in the league, and because he walks with a cane. But yes - he will turn 29 next week.

So, we're supposed to cross our fingers and hope Wade goes from an old, gimpy, mediocre player mired in a 3 year decline back to the player he was 4 seasons ago?

And, if he comes here he's going to start, right?

Hmmm. Well 4 years ago it was him and LeBron and a diminished Bosh and a declining bad bench.

WAY more well rounded talent on this team.

He would not be being asked to be that 2013 Dwayne Wade. Nor would he need to.

We're talking about adding him on a VET MIN deal.

Its a no brainer.

I don't think anyone is insane enough on the Cavs to expect a Miami Heat Wade. Still even with all the injuries and the crap team Chicago had he put up a 18 PER and looked good against Bos in the playoffs till Rondo went down.

That being said I'm excited to finally have a guy who can match up with Livingston and Igoudala off the bench. No more watching Livingston crush Delly in the post or Shumpert thinking he can dribble against Iggy. Before that Rondo injury, a well rested Wade still showed he was a guy who get you a key play down the stretch. I'm surprised people forget how easily Chicago had a handle on Boston before the Rondo injury
