there's still the baggage check.Played 16 straight minutes of game time without breaking a bone, which I did not think possible. Starting to warm up on the guy.
I know… I thought for sure we were gonna get a nose bleed to start the 4th…Played 16 straight minutes of game time without breaking a bone, which I did not think possible. Starting to warm up on the guy.
That’s the thing everyone forgets about him.One of these days, he will have a Belmont performance. Just get him on the court.
Yeah he is a phenomenal rebounder in college. One of the reasons why our defensive rebounding is better when he’s on the floor. He had so many step back 3s in college too but I haven’t seen him taken it once yet. We just have to let him play and get experience - it does take time for shooters to gel in the NBA.That’s the thing everyone forgets about him.
It’s not the shooting, but even though he is a beanpole, he was a hellacious rebounder in college. He was straight up physical at it, too.
We need any kind of rebounding at that position. Thunder guards had 18 boards including 5 offensive. Garland had 5 total. Okoro had 0 in 24 minutes. Stevens had 0 in 18 minutes. At least Windler had 3. I know we have 3 7 footers, but the lack of rebounding by our guards hurt us badly on this trip. That’s the thing everyone forgets about him.

Duncan Robinson, after going undrafted, he got with a shooting coach that worked with him on the quick release and being willing to shoot no matter the space. They recognized it was his only way to make it in the league.Yeah he is a phenomenal rebounder in college. One of the reasons why our defensive rebounding is better when he’s on the floor. He should have been mentored by Denzel Valentine... That dude has a quick trigger and always feel like he should do a heat check, lol....Duncan Robinson, after going undrafted, he got with a shooting coach that worked with him on the quick release and being willing to shoot no matter the space. I think for Windler, he’s yet to go through that transition. Shoot it when you have daylight; you don’t need to be wide open to shoot. He passes up too many shots, as you say.
Those 0 minutes he played vs the Spurs was big time… Will admit..We needed some energy. We needed a spark. The way Dylan plays the game, he’s all over the floor. He’s covering ground. He’s cutting. He’s going to the offensive board. So we needed a boost. We needed a spark, and I thought he did a phenomenal job. - JBB on Windler after the Spurs game
