Thirteen games in, the Cavs are just above .500 and on a 3 game winning streak.

@The Oi and @RchfldCavRaised celebrate the coming out party of our undrafted rookie, Craig Porter Jr while also discussing:
  • Rchfield's record reaches back to the 70's for a often sampled cult-classic
  • The Browns keep winning while leaning on their defense
  • Strong play from CPJ and Max Strus
  • Donovan and Darius, does it have to be either or? Rch gets on the witness stand and Jig cross-examines
  • Free flowing offense and Cavalanches are back
  • Jig's record recommendation takes you back to 2002 with rock royalty

Here are a few of the food recommendations we talked about during the show

Starting with the 3 hot dog monstrosity at Paycor Center (OKC). It's from a OKC deli called Schwabs

Half of the people in my section had one of these big ass boxes :chuckle:

Also, the guy who was sitting in my row is actually a famous Thunder super fan named Thundor

Had no idea, he's been a season ticket holder since the beginning. Guy was awesome and probably the nicest guy I met that game...

And here is the place in Raleigh with their Bloody Mary seafood monstrosity

It's called the Blind Pelican.

They brought me 8oz of steak, 2 grilled cheese sandwiches, 2 full crab claws, a lobster tail, 4 strips of bacon AND a dozen oysters for like $150 :02.47 tranquillity:

Needless to say, I was not able to finish this and make it to the wall of fame. Adam on Man v Food would be ashamed

Former Raleigh guy here. @RchfldCavRaised ... The seafood place you're talking about is the Blind Pelican! I used to live ~20 mins away in south Cary. The bloody Marys are incredible!

....anddddd I just scrolled up after only replying to the original post to see that you already said that. DERP

HAHA! Did you hear me take shots at your former sister city Charlotte?

Don't know why, but Raleigh is 2x the food city and culture city that Charlotte is

Oh yeah and you were spot-on! Not only is Raleigh a better food city, it's a better city overall. More educated young professionals, better beer, more parks/nature, better music scene, close enough to the ocean for day trips to the beach. My biggest mistake was not buying a house there... prices have more than doubled since I left for CBus in 2013.

I love In the Fade (big time Radiohead feel for @Deezus), and it’s one of my all time faves of theirs.

This is the song I was originally trying to come up with and I think it’s a guy taking a piss, @bushwick_bill not water.

Last share...

My favorite track on my record recommendation

Shuggie Otis - Aht Uh Mi Head

We have dorked out on Inspiration Information before... but your take is spot on. Shuggie Otis is an alien from the future who invented his own genre of music.

The best party I ever threw was my 30th birthday. Top floor apartment in San Francisco, view of the bay. Theme: Short shorts and fake mustaches. Guys, girls, don't matter. You don't walk through the door without short shorts and a mustache. Extra short shorts and fake mustaches were in the doorway if you didn't follow the dress code.

The only three albums that played that night were Inspiration Information by Shuggie, The Black Album by DJ Danger Mouse which had just dropped, and a greatest hits DeBarge album.

I pretty much stopped trying to top that one afterwards.

:chuckle::chuckle::chuckle:

I’ve been to these said parties with dress code compliance baskets at the door.

My favorite part is walking from group to group nodding like I’m listening while actually listening to the music which is too low in the background while waiting for my adult beverage or whatever is on the menu to kick in.

That exercise makes the music selection as unforgettable as Dj Danger Mouses run of underground creations.

You just took me waaaaay back with the Grey Album reference

The modern day Danger Mouse is Amerigo Gazaway (sp). Basically the Croatian Danger Mouse who just moved here to Nashville and is now randomly doing live sets around my city. Please check out his mashups like Biggie and James Brown The B.I.G. Payback and he also did a Common and Stevie Wonder full mashup album.
