Am I the only one who finds it weird that Anthony Davis and Rudy Gobert received any votes as potential break out players? Davis is 29 and only issue he has had his entire career is health not production. And Rudy Gobert is 30 and a 3 time DPOY. How exactly can either break out.

Its preseason, they played 30 minutes or so each, they got their warm up, Evan has not.

We have 82 games that count before the playoffs, patience, we will see are team play together in time and for many games, just not in the preseason.

I think they sent Kevin Love home in bubble wrap to be with his newlywed wife with care instructions to avoid injury, lol...its how the preseason goes. ,
 
I understand Garland not making the trip. But I think Mitchell could use more time gaining on-court familiarity with the rest of our guys (especially Mobley), and Allen is still playing his way into game shape.
 
Darius, Mitchell, Allen not even making the trip. I doubt Love or Wade play. We won't overwork LeVert with opening night right around the corner. Other than seeing what Evan looks like, its not exactly "must see TV".

Watch how he balls out. I got a feeling Mobley is going to be a monster this year
 
Mobley will be the 4th option to start the year. Heck, 5th option if LeVert starts. I expect modest progress. But by year 5, modest progress equal big gains. It just takes time.
 
Players who are on the path to be all-NBA or all time great players almost always make major progress between their first and second years and usually reach clear all star / potential superstar status by their third year. (Giannis who came into the league extremely raw took till his fourth). If Mobley is the kind of player we hope he is he will make MAJOR gains this year and even more next year. Fuck “modest progress”. By his fifth year he should be all-NBA first or second team and a future hall of famer or else we will not become a championship contender.
