I'll be surprised if the Raptors get away with playing like that all season, especially on the road. Teams/coaches will start chirping. They'll go up against a team like the Heat who go right back at them. Someone else will get hurt. The league will probably step in.Regarding teams that are allowed to play defense with hands.. can’t really adapt to that. Just ask someone to give you a push mid-air, pull your jersey for a second when you go for a layup, grab your hand when you chase someone around the pick… The talent levels are so high that such little advantages make a huge difference.
Cavs are able to play excellent defense without that, but sadly, flopping and foul hunting got quickly back in fashion last season.
But if not, we have Lopez and Stevens on the bench. That's just not a move you want to go to during the first game of the season.
