Regarding teams that are allowed to play defense with hands.. can’t really adapt to that. Just ask someone to give you a push mid-air, pull your jersey for a second when you go for a layup, grab your hand when you chase someone around the pick… The talent levels are so high that such little advantages make a huge difference.
Cavs are able to play excellent defense without that, but sadly, flopping and foul hunting got quickly back in fashion last season.
I'll be surprised if the Raptors get away with playing like that all season, especially on the road. Teams/coaches will start chirping. They'll go up against a team like the Heat who go right back at them. Someone else will get hurt. The league will probably step in.

But if not, we have Lopez and Stevens on the bench. That's just not a move you want to go to during the first game of the season.

That has to be one of the silliest takes I have seen. Wiseman is like the offensive version of Drummond where he has all of these skills and should be dynamite on that side of the ball, but just does not have the head for it. Mobley has already shown he is an elite lob finisher, is a better passer than Wiseman, and has shown improvement on his shot. It is just not close in my opinion.

I didn’t see much of the Chicago game…how was Mobley? Was he still not aggressive enough, and pretty passive still??

Also just one assist as against three turnovers, just like the Toronto game. He’s got two assists and six turnovers so far this season

He’s scoring well opportunistically but still hasn’t figured out how to create his own shot or make others better on offense

I think he’s the guy most impacted by Garlands absence. He’s good for 2-3 lobs per game and some easy buckets.

The defense is still there and his shot looks much better. It’s going to take some time, but yes he’s needs to get more physical and rebound.

At least one of Evan's turnovers was a player not being in position for the pass. LeVert hovered too close to the middle and should have been further to the left wing shooters spot. Evan let Caris know about this one.

On another turnover which was a corner pass to the right baseline, there was no one in the vicinity. Probably should've been a player over there. Mobley was getting pressured and crowded and likely thought he had an outlet without looking in the corner.

Give it time. These kinds of things will improve.

This was true. Two of his turnovers were him trying to find guys in spots they hadn't got to yet and the other he caught in the paint and pound hopped but bounced the ball way to hard and it bobbled away. I like that the Cavs force-feed him early in the game and we are in his learning curve process so it's going to look messy
