Fantasy Football 2019

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think I'm leaning towards not doing this, just because of the unknown that Melvin Gordon could turn into. I'd hate to trade him away and have him explode once he comes back.

I feel like Jeffery/Golladay is more or less a wash and I'd much rather have Gordon than Jacobs. Gordon has been a top five fantasy back the past three or four years and his team has no incentive not to run him into the ground since he probably won't be a Charger next year.

In the last two weeks I've trade my 1st and 2nd rounders.

This week I moved obj/lat Murray for SShepard/DMontgomery.

Last week was juju/Hilton/Gallman for DJMoore/Dorsett/Mack

I'm 0-4 and trying to shake things up

Brissett
MMack, DMont, MSanders, Breida, RFreeman/Hines
TBoyd/SShep/DJMoore/Deebo/Dorsett
Andrews

DAL

Alright, I'm 1-3 and desperately need to grab a win this week. My league is 1-PPR and starts QB, 2x RB, 3x WR, TE, DEF, K.

Here is my current roster:

QB - Deshaun Watson, Kirk Cousins
RB - Marlon Mack, James White, Carlos Hyde, Jeff Wilson
WR - Michael Thomas, Juju Smith-Schuster, Stefon Diggs, D.J. Chark, Phillip Dorsett, Will Fuller
TE - Jimmy Graham, Vance McDonald
DEF - Browns
K - Justin Tucker

Who should I play? Only guaranteed guys I have slotted in right now are Watson, Thomas, Browns D, and Tucker.

Everybody else is hurt, struggling, or just too much of a gamble for me.

Me personally I'd go with the guys you said, Graham at TE more of a boom/bust guy depending on TD"s but with D. Adams possibly out he's got a better chance to get one then most weeks. At RB I'd go with Mack since he's the best of the bunch and since it PPR J. White would be the other guy I'd go with since he's been basically getting slot WR targets lately so while he not gonna probably carry your team for the week he's got a high floor. Not sure what to do with the WR's aside from Thomas as you said, I don't trust Juju or Diggs too much at the moment and Chark has a tough match up so maybe someone else can help you out there. Got bored waiting for TNF game so choose how I would go at least.

RB: Mack, White
WR: Thomas, ???, ???
TE: Graham

I honestly hate how lucky the people who drafted Russell Wilson have gotten again. Pretty much everything showed that Wilson’s season last season was almost impossible to reproduce. I pretty much lumped all Wilson drafters into people who did no research and just went for big names

But he keeps up that sky high touchdown %

The Seattle defense isn't as good this year, and Wilson is a fantastic QB. I was targeting Wilson a ton this year because I knew they would have to unleash him simply due to game script. You can't grind out games when you have a mediocre to bad defense, and the Legion of Boom is no more.

Legion of boom was no more last year either and he was incredibly reliant on his career high TD% on the offense that ran the ball more than anyone in the NFL

No disagreement that Wilson is a fantastic QB. Think his fantasy viability is remarkably touchdown dependent and I think fantasy owners have gotten lucky while ignoring pretty much every signal saying he’s overvalued

Played Gurley and Goff tonight. Down by 43 and it's not even the weekend yet.

Last year Russell had a career high TD% of 8.2%

In a 4 point per passing touchdown, 1 point per 25 passing yard format he ranked as the 9th overall QB last season.

If He instead had his previous career high TD% he would have had 30 touchdown passes, 5 less. That would have dropped him down to the 14th ranked QB

If he would have had his career average touchdown% (which believe it or not is helped by his first 2 seasons so I didn’t exclude them) he would have thrown for 24 touchdowns or 11 less. He would have ranked under Trubisky

My first post wasn’t fair though. Obviously not everyone who grabbed Wilson was just hunting big names. That’s just in my league the guy who grabbed him 100% fits that bill and I projected.

However, Wilson now having a 7.7% TD pct to me is again playing with a lot of volatility. His passing attempts per game are up a bit this year which helps him be less touchdown dependent, but it’s still not some crazy amount and it’s still a team that runs as much as they pass. The only player with a higher TD% than Wilson is Rudolph. Last year he was second to Mahommes

Russell seemed to be going pretty late in drafts, at least in my experience. It was usually Mahomes, Watson, Baker, and Rodgers going early and then everyone else was sprinkled in through various later rounds. The guys I was after were the ones that were falling but still had top ten upside like Wilson, Lamar, Ryan, and Dak. Last year Mahomes was my guy.

I was one of the ones who drafted Russell late. Filled out RBs, WRs, and TE first and picked him up long after everyone else had drafted QBs.

Definitely lucky, but sometimes that’s what it takes.

Also (and I know this has already been discussed elsewhere)...

I think we need to start discussing Tyler Lockett as one of the best receivers in the NFL. He’s been incredible this year. In terms of fantasy, I believe he’s within the top 5 in terms of production this year for wide receivers.

Absolutely a top ten talent already, and he’s on the rise.

I was just checking the projection for my match-up in one of my dynasty leagues this week and noticed the guy I was playing is 4-1 despite being projected to be beaten by me by about sixty points. I am currently 3-2. I went to the league home page and saw that he averages 30 less points against him per week than I do through five weeks. Opponents have averaged 90 points per game against him this season.

Must be fucking nice.

Another interesting tidbit is that the top three teams in points (myself and two others) are all within a single point of each other per game. 142.85 is first and I am third with 141.85. That's pretty nuts.

Because of bye weeks, the only RBs I have for this week are James White, Carlos Hyde, and Jon Hilliman.

Have to play two of them, 1 PPR, already 110% playing James White.

Hyde has been dinged up this week, but I really don't know what to expect out of Hilliman, and I also am not sure if I want to play both my RBs in a Thurs. night game.

Thoughts?
