Fantasy Start/Sit - Week 4

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Welp me not playing Alshon really paid off.... in another league I had to resort to starting Agholor with Ertz as my tight end. Ertz did ok I guess and Agholor laid a big ol turd on me. My depth is awful at the moment, but I’m 3-0.

Jeffery had a pretty terrible night, but he salvaged it with that touchdown. That's one problem with making projections like this...we could assume he wouldn't have a great game but touchdowns are basically random chance.

I think my assessment of both Wentz and Jeffery was pretty spot on. Wentz only completed 16 of 27 passes for 160 yards (5.9 yards per attempt), which is his season low by over 70 yards. Of course, like Jeffery (who had a pretty terrible stat line of 3 of 9 targets for 38 yards), he salvaged it with the three touchdown passes and he didn't turn the ball over.

So Mike Williams and Justin Jackson have been ruled out for Sunday's Chargers game. Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler might combine for 100 fantasy points. :chuckle:

Assuming he’s healthy enough and plays, better to start Edelman @BUF or DJ Moore @HOU in PPR?

Alright quick, James White or Carlos Hyde? PPR

James White is the bigger gamble with the higher upside, never know what a Belicheck game plan might look like,

But in a PPR league i take the risk and start White.

That’s what I was thinking, just wanted somebody to back me up.

White would be my pick. Brady has struggled in Buffalo in recent years, which means a potential negative game script which favors White over Michel or the other backs.

I'd go Moore. Houston has given up a lot of fantasy points to receivers. Buffalo has not.

Hock is already poised to give me more production than Kittle has at any point this season.

Fantasy football is weird.

Week four hits/misses/washes thus far...

Hits:
Aaron Rodgers (start)
Phillip Rivers (start)
LeSean McCoy (start)
Sony Michel (sit)
Wayne Gallman (start)
Austin Ekeler (start)

Aaron Rodgers had the breakout game we've been waiting for. Rivers wasn't quite as good as that, but he still had a good week. McCoy was quality. Michel was garbage. Gallman went the fuck off, as did Ekeler.

Misses:
Daniel Jones (start)
Aaron Jones (sit)
Delanie Walker (start)

Aaron Jones had a solid week, although Williams getting hurt early may have played a factor there. Daniel Jones, meanwhile, gave up points with his two picks. Walker laid a turd as Davis and Brown went off.

It's a Wash:
Baker Mayfield (sit)
Carson Wentz (sit)
Alshon Jeffery (sit)
Terry McLaurin (start)
Darren Waller (start)

Mayfield and Wentz had serviceable but not exceptional games. You probably aren't disappointed if you started either guy, but you're similarly not blown away by the production. Jeffery salvaged a bad game with six points in the end zone. McLaurin didn't end up playing. Waller had a solid game for a TE if you started him in full or half PPR, but you're likely disappointed in standard.

I'll edit this post as the other guys finish their games.

My prediction of Godwin outproducing Mike Evans this year is looking solid. Evans had a monster week three against a terrible Giants secondary that had no answer for him, but by and large it's looking like Godwin is the security blanket for Winston. Any team that has a guy who can stick with Evans is going to see Godwin tearing it up.

Started OBJ and DJ Moore this week. :(

No point beating yourself up for starting OBJ. You're gonna be starting him every week.

Absolutely. Just hasn’t been a good week for guys that will start every week regardless of matchup. Cook has been struggling too.

That being said, I’m starting to get the temptation to see what I can get for Moore.
