Farewell, Timofey Mozgov

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Month & 1/2 ago comment and fact trainer went down to work him out in Miami during all-star break suggests to me his knee was issue until just after the break. He clearly used the time off well, only question is whether it might've been better to shut him down completely in January or something. I don't know enough about knees or his issue to hazard a guess, but it does raise a few questions even as it answers others.

You got the scoop on the knee, man.

We all thought everything was ok until you told us that Mozzy said his knee was still an issue earlier this season.

Good work!

The only question I have is what was the stuff about"only sasha knows about the personal stuff going on and neither of us will tell you guys"?

Russian Version.

If Moz's knee is 100%. He better start every game from here until the finals. And he better get more minutes.

How Moz has been used lately can be explained with one example. First quarter vs. Charlotte @ 6:09. Moz is switched onto Marvin Williams, and is forced to protect both the paint AND the three point line. He has to cheat towards Kevin's man because Kevin's man is longer and cutting. Moz can't over-guard Marvin Williams because he will get blown by. So what's Moz to do? Not much. Moz does his best: he keeps Kevin's man within range and hustles out to contest Williams' three. Williams buries it but not because a lack of effort on Moz' part.

Moz is then taken out for TT a minute later and doesn't play again until the third quarter.

We have to come to grips with the fact that Moz isn't Drummond or Gobert. A guy that is fast enough to hang with small lineups, but big enough to make them pay. We have to accept that there are certain teams we can play him against and others we cannot. That said, I do think he should get some more minutes if he is healthy now so he can establish a rhythm.

Contrast between Cavs' 2 most-used lineups is amazing.

Mozgod you are the weakest link

Still has ass hands, but his defense has steadily been improving. Good to see.

His rim protection is invaluable, Hes literally the only guy on the team who can do that effectively & add some intimidation factor under the basket, without him teams just finish at the rim with ease.

Hes such an important piece, hope he keeps improving his play. also great to hear that his knee is finally feeling better.

Moz is our "Joker" card in the Playoffs.

He has been underwhelming and with him struggling our rim protection and defense hasn't been the same. If he can play close to how well he did last play-offs, we have a legit shot at winning against any team from the West.
