Forecasting A Potential Head Coaching Search

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
For those of us who wanted Jordi Fernandez, I’d recommend looking into Nets assistant Will Weaver and you’ll find a lot of the similarities in Weaver that you liked in Fernandez (G-League experience, international experience, offensive acumen) minus the tutoring of some of the leagues best coaches..

If Mitchell stays, I have to feel like Johnnie Bryant is going to get a hard look..

If Koby stays, I have a feeling Alex Jensen will get another look (interviewed for the job when JB got the job)..

If Garland stays and they want to commit to him, see what Sam Cassell has to say would intrigue me (although I worry his coaching style may not embrace todays analytical approach)..

All in all, Atkinson and Hammon will probably be at the top of the list either way..

I'm pretty sure he plans on staying in Australia when he's done playing.
Most probably, would be a nice thing if it happens though... maybe he develops enough friendship with Travers to help him out navigate the NBA

I saw the Lakers were going to interview James Borrego. Honestly, I wouldn’t be opposed to interviewing him. His offenses with the Hornets were really good. The team actually looked competent with him as head coach. It was the defense that let him down.

If we feel that the team can still play defense at a high level no matter the coach, I don’t hate the idea of James Borrego….
