It appears he keeps switching hats.Dorsey is a trendsetter with those elf hats.

As a massive collector of hats, and one whose favorite hat is a brown Browns hat with Brownie the Elf, I am fully in favor of Freddie Kitchens as our HC. I could not give two shits about his playcalling or leadership, but indeed, his hat collection is a thing of beauty. It appears he keeps switching hats.
He’s probably in his office right now, feet up on the desk, eating wings and staring at his glorious row of new hats.As a massive collector of hats, and one whose favorite hat is a brown Browns hat with Brownie the Elf, I am fully in favor of Freddie Kitchens as our HC. I tweeted that something really cool was how the defensive players seemed to really respect Freddie too, with Kirksey saying he was the right choice. Those don't seem to be just emptpy compliments, either. We had the opportunity to see that "toughness" mindset for ourselves on Hard Knocks when he challenged Hue on not practicing hard enough.

I think the players liked Gregg... but I am starting to believe they viewed Freddie as the reason for the team's improvement. And that's cool. I've been more critical on Freddie the many, but nonetheless, it's becoming clear that he was the right choice to lead this team into the future.
Per PFF, other teams gained only .43 yards per snap when Randall was in coverage. Moreover, Randall gave up a reception only once per 27.4 coverage snaps. Both rank among the top-30 in NFL safeties. He also ranks as the 13th best safety in run defense.
Is he a top 10 safety? Probably not. But he’s really good, and more importantly, one of the most versatile safeties in the NFL.
@The Wizard of Moz and @The Human Q-Tip it appears we were all wrong.Public relations is part of their business. The fact that both us fans and the press are discussing "why hasn't Kitchens been announced yet" demonstrates that it is a PR issue, and they want the eventual press conference to go as smoothly as possible. That may not seem to be a critical issue, but a professionally run organization is going to want to have everything run as smoothly as possible, whether it is critically important or not. Why do things the wrong-way/half-assed when you can do them right?
Plus...it's simply easier to do it this way. It lets them have one press conference with Kitchens and all three of his new coordinators instead of having one for each. And, they don't have to pull Kitchens out of interviewing/recruiting his staff just to prepare for and attend a press conference.
The written contract itself may not be finalized, but that's only because it is not most urgent need right now. But, you can be sure the essential terms of the contract are done -- Kitchens would not be participating in the interviews of potential coordinators/coaches if they had not already agreed on all the essential terms.
