I think the Indians are really close to landing this high risk/reward guy ...

Didn't he have Tommy John surgery? I mean he closed 80 something straight...but that is a huge surgery..thats like Amare's Micro Fracture surgery. I'd love to have him but I hope he's not going to be our Mark Prior..

THAT would be the signing that maybe pushes Dolan out of the "Cheap-Bastard of Cleveland" award. Hell he'd be close. Gange would be huge if healthy. He's worth a shot.

However, I know I love closers. I've always loved a team with a dominating closer, but I'd still do this deal.
 
And if we can figure out a solid setup man and he can do close to what he did as a Dodger...with the offense we have..in Sizemore Hafner Barfields 20-30 dingers...Blake's 20...

We'd be back in the playoff hunt..

I would ABSOLUTELY take this chance. What can it hurt? If the guy comes back anywhere near what he was before he's top 5 in the league.

How much would it cost? This better not be the next Sarunas Jasikevicius thread.
 
I can't get away from this. Even if he's only 3/4 back, we still have one of the best closers in baseball.

I swear Dolan/Shapiro if you screw this up...

Well the last two AL Participants in the WS came out of the Central but then again the AL West is very deep..
