Game 1 | Cavs @ Chicago | October 27th, 2015 | 8:00pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It shouldn't be a surprise the Mo and Jefferson had good games. They were basically the only two guys to play consistent minutes in every single pre-season game. To have them, in place of the corpse crew from last year is huge, though we may not see the full benefit of it until Kyrie and Shump are back.

But just the Marion to Jefferson upgrade is looking so nice. A broken shot to a sweet looking shot. And although Marions athleticism was great when he was younger, Jefferson actually looks more spry on the court this year than Trix did last year.

I feel like this should upset me, but I can't bring myself to care at all. Does anyone really think we're going to lose to this team in the playoffs?

He can blow kisses now, and blow something else when he regresses to a sub-35% 3 point shooter and a "he's alright, I guess" big-man by the end of the season.

Kevin had 17 shots, 10 of those being inside the arc. Second most shots on the team. I don't have an issue with how he was used, though as the weeks go on I do expect more.

One issue that we can do nothing about tonight is just the timing of the rotation. Because we started out so good, Blatt took LeBron out early, which is fine and advisable. This is when Kevin should be getting the elbow looks and post ups. But because its his first real game back and his exhibition season was truncated, I'm not sure he had the wind and energy to be the focal point for the second half of the 1st qtr when LeBron sat.

this Mirotic/Gasol version of the Bulls will lose all the important games to the Cavs. It's coming down to health and nothing else

The Bulls' glorious early-season victory over a recovering, and kind of disinterested, Cavs team surely makes up for their embarrassing playoff loss to a squad comprised of LeBron, a spastic Australian and 1/2 of Irving.

Bastards don't know it yet, but they are getting swept by the Cavs in the second-round if they manage to get that far.

Stuff I took from tonight:

--we would be NBA champions right now if we had RJ and Mo last year

--KLove is still not stepping up as an all-star caliber player, although maybe he's just rusty and having his pre-season on TNT

--Lebron is pretty good even when he's bad. His 3-point shot still looks kind of broken though

--TT is not only worse than Draymond Green, he's worse than Mirotic

What we all do remember is that your irrational hatred for Kevin Love is only matched by Fox News' undying, and hysterical hatred for all things Obama.

We all look forward to your objective opinions on Kevin throughout the season (and Obama for that matter)! :)
To see my RATIONAL reasoning behind why I don't particularly like Kevin (Wiggins, lack of production, fit on this team etc.), see my past published works. What do I have to say about Obama? Nothing really, he's almost out of office, that's cool. But the modern presidential race, to borrow from Southpark, is always a competition between a "turd sandwich" and a "giant douche." Is Hildawg the former or the latter that is up for you to decide.

I can't wait to join my old friends on here and bestow my great wisdom upon my counterparts and subordinates. Look forward to getting myself back into playoff form!

I was actually pleased with the first game.

JR was cold, but played hard and tough, got a bullshit tech. I hate these refs.

Lebron looked out of practice and sync yet had 25/10/5

Moz looked out of shape still

Tristan's typical limited offense was non existent because of a lack of pre-season,

Andy didn't look comfortable yet.

All of these things, no kyrie, no shump and we lost by 2 on the road to what is supposed to be the 2nd best team in the East?

This should have been a blow out, we had no business to be in this game. Even Reggie Miller knew this.

Best part of the game for me was how fluid our ball movement looked, even with bench players and not that much game time together. 26 assists to 10 TOs, and would have been even more if not for our shitty shooting. We also limited the LeIsos to just a few possessions.

Someone rich and smart was probably betting a LOT of money on the Cavs +3 because it's bogus that the defending E.C. champs are underdogs against the team we waltzed out of the playoffs with no Love and a hobbled Irving.
Locked in a very large bet at +4, and then a parlay at +7 when they were trailing

Mitotic was MVP of the Spanish league. Euro players usually take a year or two to acclimate but the dude is going to be very good particularly a coach who will emphasize offense. Looks like may already be the best big out of a good frontcourt.

Would like to see more from K Love. He needs to start asserting himself more. I don't think Mirotic could handle him inside if he posted up strong or sealed deep - punish guys like that over and over again, part of his strengths used to be drawing fouls - let's try to use that. Kev is also a great passer, let's use that instead of having him camp at the 3pt line.

We really need to feed him the ball way more often.
