Game 1 -|- Nets @ Cavs -|- Wed. October 30th, 7:00PM.

Next game to watch? I think I'll tune into the end of Washing and Detroit. I see John Wall is under the impression he should be shooting the most shots on the team.

Give me Bosh, NBA Rank.

So excited. I love that the month-long torture of the Browns being the only show in town, is finally over.

How about the idiots on NBA TV spending the first five minutes of the post game show laughing at Varejao taking the big shot, like he's Ben Wallace or something?

Let's be honest. It was a bad play and all things being equal, you probably don't want Varejao being the guy taking THE shot. Mike Brown should have a called a time out after that offensive board, but hey, who cares now?

Though they were talking out of their asses... they had a point.. Really bad play and Brown needs to do a better job at that.... Kyrie iso was ugly..

Well, we knew that offense would be sporadic in the early parts of the season. The improvement in defense will overshadow it for now. They'll work it out. Great win.

First games can set a tone for the season. Right now you just have to focus on the next game. Enjoy it tonight, but be ready tomorrow.

He couldn't use a time out there. The Cavs only had one time out left. You can't afford to use it.

It's one of the things that absolutely irked me about the NBA analyst who obviously was blissfully unaware of that fact when he made his comments taking an uncalled for shot at Mike Brown.

Waiters has played solid defense all night, after his first few minutes in the ballgame.

Stopped posting in the thread down the stretch cause I was too into the game, but this is the 1st thing I wanted to come in and say. He bodied up and played so physical with a much larger Joe Johnson and threw him off of his spots, most notably that possession towards the end of the game where he forced Johnson to pass to a covered Pierce who took a contested jumper. I liked that he didn't stay down when his shots weren't falling and instead found other ways to effect the game (passing, defense).

Great fucking win. Kyrie needs to trust his teammates more

calla time out on what was essentially a wide open free throw... .. take the shot.

Agreed also if Kyrie is the superstar we want him to be you gotta trust him in those situations.

It was an awful play, but bottom line - I'm confident with Varejao making that shot. They obviously haven't paid much attention to the Cavs in a while.
