Game 10, Cavs @ Suns, Thursday, 12 January 2012, 9:00pm EST

Serious question, is anyone really worried about Kyrie's turnover rate? As I'm watching the game, I don't notice too many bad plays by the kid and I think a couple of those passes that were called turnovers were the fault of the guy trying to catch the ball.

Just wanted some honest feedback because I've only been passively watching the games. Not close enough to actually break things down

Tonights turnovers were pretty legit. Stepped out of bounds, offensive foul, threw the ball away twice, and lost the ball.

Not too concerning, but needs to be addressed

No. He's a rookie. Rookies almost always struggle with turnovers.

yes kyrie makes no mistakes its all his teammates.. rubbish hes rookie and he is human he makes mistakes, Irving to rate is 16% which is decent for his usage. he also has balanced turnovers in pass to ball handling.. Irving is doing excptional no need to boost him up even further

Not at all. He's a rookie, and I noticed a couple of those bad passes looked like tired passes. He's only around 3, which is what you expect from a guy who has to do so much offensively. Just look at Nash. Nearly 4 turnovers a game for around 6-7 years because he was doing so much of the ball handling.

Not worried about the turnovers. Not this early anyways. The first couple games of the season, he'd turn it over sometimes on forced drives to the basket. He got tied up a few times or flat lost the ball because he didn't seem to anticipate help defense or he was truly just forcing a play that wasn't there. Now he's starting to put incredible spin on these lay-ups to make these real crafty scores near the basket.

Your assessment on some of the passes is correct. Some guys are flat out losing the ball, but early on he also wasn't passing as crisply as he is now. I've yet to see those Nash or Rondo-like 3-4 foot passes near the hoop though, which take a lot of touch and rhythm with your team-mates.

I'm more concerned about seeing him pass the ball in general, but the kid has such incredible ball-handling skills and craftiness near the basket that I'm really not sure if defenses are going to be able to just adjust to that and stop him.

Kyrie with another great night. A good win for the Cavs. Fuck tanking anymore, I love watching this team win and them having fun out there.

At this rate, the Cavs will NEVER get the #1 pick again. They aren't supposed to be able to WIN games like this, the 4th game on a road trip. Someone needs to tell them to take it easy...

AC is on point tonight. Great analysis and advice.

No way they take it easy after what happened in la last year. The team will be ready

btw if your really worried about Irvings to% look at what Irving is on pace for and the company he is keeping for rookie years

this is a liist of guys with a 30% assist rate, 15 + per and 10 ppg
