Time for Camakazee's neat-o stats of the night,
(sponsored by: Scott Brooks... Jam).
On... A... Tear!
- Here's a quick look at some significant stats from the past three games.
Vs. ATL
First Quarter Score: 28-12, Cavs.
Smallest Lead Held (After 1st Q): 11 points.
Largest Lead Held: 28 points (0 for ATL).
Won By: 14 points.
@ NYK
First Quarter Score: 34-22, Cavs.
Smallest Lead Held (After 1st Q): 12 points.
Largest Lead Held: 34 points (0 for NYK).
Won By: 18 points.
Vs. OKC
First Quarter Score: 33-14, Cavs.
Smallest Lead Held (After 1st Q): 21 points.
Largest Lead Held: 42 points (0 for OKC).
Won By: 35 points
For you lazy bastards, here's a good generalization of what this entails:
- During the last 3 games, the Cavs have won the first quarter by double digits each time (+13 points average).
- After winning the first quarter by double digits each of the last three games, the Cavs have refused to surrender that lead, forcing their opponent to trail by double digits the rest of the game.
- The Cavs' opponents have failed to take the lead in the last 3 games (12 quarters).
- The Cavs' average margin of victory in the past three games is 22.3 points.
Small Stats? Well... Small Minutes!
- Tonight LeBron only logged 17 minutes in the Varsity/Junior Varsity scrimmage. This ties his career low for minutes played (17 mp back in 2004 against Houston). In fact, only three times in LeBron's professional career, including tonight, has he logged under 20 minutes in a game. Keep those leg's fresh for the playoffs
- Also to note, Ben Wallace only logged 7 minutes tonight. This is the first time he has logged seven minutes or less since 1998. In fact, the only team he has ever played such a small amount of minutes for has been Washington.
With everyone keeping their minutes down during the regular season due to blow outs, I think it's safe to say this will be the most energized LeBron-led Cavs team we've ever seen in the playoffs. Should be exciting! :gap:
