Exactly.....Haven't you guys noticed...The Knicks are a team on the rise, I mean they scored what 140 something off a GREAT Don Nelson led defensive juggernaut. The Knicks will win the majority of the games remaining on their schedule, get the #1 seed, win the title, then win it again next year, and LBJ will see all of this and think "damn I need to sign there since they are completely dedicated to winning EVERY SEASON and never make any bad moves."
Oh wait, sorry everyone, I was overtaken by Stephen A.'s logic....Actually, his logic is more like....Why wouldn't ANYONE want to play in NY? And since the NBA HAS to have a successful NY franchise, then of COURSE LBJ will be a Knick in 010. What he doesn't tell you is that through the NBA's most successful years (1980's and 90's), NY won.....0 titles.....and wasn't always the best of teams either (sure they had the Ewing era with 2 finals appearances in 94 and 99, both losses btw) but never has a mega star like a Jordan, Bird, Magic, Shaq, Kobe, Iverson, etc. Somehow (phew) the NBA survived.....Maybe because NY has NEVER been the "Mecca of basketball." Baseball, okay, I'll give you that, but only because the Mets in 69.
All of this being said, I hope every time we play the Knicks, and the integrity filled NY reporters filter out their garbage about LBJ practically being a Knick already, that we kick the living SH** out of them. You know, just to make LeBron jealous he isn't wearing Orange and Blue.
