3 Keys for Cavalier Victory:

1) Limit Turnovers! - Turnovers killed the Cavs in Boston. 21 is unacceptable. Aim for Coach Brown's goal of 13 turnovers or less.

2) Don't Play Down to the Competition - Last season, the Cavs had a habit of lacking intensity against weaker teams. Play the Bobcats like they played the Celtics in the first half, and win will be nearly guaranteed.

3) Watch for Weaknesses in Execution - The Bobcats are now led by a fiery & hardnosed coach, Larry Brown. Rumors of turmoils in the Bobcats organization, Brown's distaste for several players, a brand new system, and a battle at the point guard spot between Raymond Felton and newcomer DJ Augustin bode for lots of distractions. Take advantage!

Welp... My first preview. I may make a few more edits, but in the meantime.... Start discussin'.

Time to rally the troops with a motivational speech...

The Bobcats always play us tough. If Delonte starts, expect J-Rich to go off. Check that, no matter who starts expect J-Rich to go off. I expect a much closer game than most, but we should get the W.

We're in last place in the East right now, this is a big game. ;)

This would be a great game to get JJ in there, Sean May is slow, fat and soft. All those tattoos he just got ain't fooling anybody

That preview looks awesome. Great work!

I think we could start LeBron at 4 in this game. Sean May is slower than a snail and LeBron would torch him. He can also run back to the perimeter and jack up his damn 3's since May probably won't be able to catch up with him. If (more like when) Sean May gets into foul trouble they are f*cked at 4.

Thanks Stereo for stepping up.

Cavs at home will take this one. Home opener should bring a good atmosphere and hopefully some intensity from the get go.

I fully anticipate the Cavaliers taking this one by double digits.

Moreso then the final score, I want to see some improvements taking care of the basketball and a little less stagnation on the offensive end.

I think playing what should be a significantly worse defense will help in that regard.

lets hope for nothing but the W....if we lose we have serious problems b/c bobcats are playing HORRIBLE....time to abuse their bench

Re: Home Opener | Bobcats @ Cavs Oct. 30th, 7:00PM (ET)

I don't foresee the Cavs having too much trouble in this game, although a slow start could be expected due to the emotions of the home opener. LeBron James rarely has two subpar games in a row, so I expect him to finish with a typical LBJ line (32 pts, 9 reb., 8 ast.). I expect Jason Richardson to have a good game, as he always seems to against the Cavs. I think Mo Williams will bounce back, but I am still a little concerned with his defense, although he has several months to get that worked out. This is one of the few teams that the Cavs should have an advantage in the frontcourt, so I hope Mike Brown exploits that.

Although they had a full training camp together, there are still a lot of guys on the team that didn't go through training camp together last year. There will probably be some interesting stretches of games (both positive and negative) the first several weeks of the season.
