Game #22 (Chicago Bulls at Cleveland Cavaliers)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
BAD management of the last 5 minutes of the game. BAD. Very. Bad. It's a coaching problem and a player problem. We walk the ball up the floor EACH possession after running for most of the game. What the hell is that? We throw up 3 point bricks on at least 4 possessions in that time frame. Another brick was banked in. Just terrible.

We play Oli type defense on Rose when we know damn well he's going to drive. TWO DAMN times in a row he drives right by Mo. Total = 5 points.

3 straight possessions... the last three, we take two 3 pointers for bricks and a fade away corner shot by Mo. Just. Terrible.

This isn't good enough people. Oh sure, the effort was better and the attitude was better, but this was NOT good enough. We sucked when it counted. We had the game won but for some damn reason we decided to start crawling up the floor and stopped playing defense when it counted. Pathetic.

I don't feel any damn better whatsoever. If the Cavs call this some kind of a moral victory or something..... they can kiss my ass.

You are being mislead by the score.

We had a very poor offensive game. As I said, Mo set the offense well when he was in, but he is also one the main scorer of this team. He has to make shots.

What made the difference was the effort and hustle on defense. If we put out this same hustle every game we will win quite a lot of games.

Now read the rest of my post. As you say "Mo set the offense [up] well when he was in, but he is also one of the main scorers of this team." Sorry, Mo can't and shouldn't be trying to do both things. Considering he is supposed to not only set teh offense up but then be it's main socrer too, I think this was a solid effort. He is not LeBron James. He cannot be an offenses main facilitator AND main scorer.

Wait, you mean this awful roster isn't good enough? Stunner.

I agree with all of this. The offense looked like shit down the stretch. Those last two three's were god awful shots. Boobie played a solid game but he needs to take a better shot than that. Mo fading away? Really? We couldnt come up with anything better than that? The last 3 minutes of this game was pathetic.

ithink most here expected a total blowout

The Cavs showed heart and gave a great effort

wish we could have held on in the 4th

I like the starting line-up and the fact that Scott tightened up the rotation
surprised we saw Harris over sessions but not disappointed at all

we still got Jawad but I was pleased with the minutes for the starters and the overall effort

Bad Clock management. Having Manny on Rose really helped. They should have had him out there at the end. Rose is not bothered by fast guys, he has more trouble with tall ones.

Having 3 ball handlers in the starting unit changed everything. The offense actually worked because they could get the ball where they wanted it. Boobie pounded the ball too much at the end, and they stopped getting the ball inside.

Agree with the foul on AV being a real turning point. Mo also took that last shot too early in the clock.

I will say this, we lost and we played much better... but Boozer only 4 points and 3 boards. I dig :)

Team looks much better when Hickson Isn't playing.

And Sessions.

I definitely liked the changes. Especially the Harris over Sessions move. Now I just want to see Jawad worked out of the rotation.

Great effort and fun game to watch except for my son continuously saying look out for Rose the last 2 minutes of the game, and it coming true...

Damn... just saw the end of the game and Derrick Rose carried the ball something FIERCE on his gamewinner.

It's sad we have stooped so low as to be praising good effort even though we lost. We should never have to praise effort. It should be a given with people making millions to play a game. Players should feel like they at least OWE us that much every game.

Compared to half of what we saw from LeBron, that was nothing. EASY no call, didn't look like he did to me.

Well, we can either be mad as hell 90% of the time this season, or we can look for moral victories like this one so we can at least enjoy the season somewhat. I'd rather to the latter.

I was crucified for my Lowered Expectations thread earlier this season...

Glad to see that people are starting to come around.
