Game #24 (Cleveland Cavaliers @ Oklahoma City Thunder)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
it wasn't all talent...but mostly talent.

we can't hit shots on offense - that is a talent issue.

we also don't have a big man who can jump and defend the paint - that is a talent issue.

we have small guards who are too short to guard SG's - that is a talent issue.

I love how yesterday you called them midgets. I bet if you stood next to even their shortest player you wouldn't dare call him a midget.

heh...yeah but we had one player who was the most talented player in the league...he carried the team.

Yup, except for Kobe, I agree. We are wallowing in his wake right now. But we still should be able to win some of these games. Guys need to step up.

Edit: and maybe Rondo.

He wasn't the guy who was asked to make the rotations to defend the 3 point line. THere is really no excuse for our now being the very worst team in the league defending the 3.

Boobie trying to play SG is essentially a midget by NBA standards.

I have to mostly disagree. Less talent can indeed outplay and win. It's called heart. Desire. Pride. Hustle. Passion. I've seen less talent win many, many times over the years at all level of sports, and in every sport. Talent is great and it's nice to have, but to say talent wins most of the time is not actually true. Give me a team full of passion and pride and heart EACH game, and that team will beat your talent with less of the above.

Mo is only 1-3. As our best shooter and possibly player in general, he needs to take some more shots.

i'll give you that....but even if we could somewhat defend the 3, it wouldn't be enough to make up for the lack of offense. we might lose by 8 or 10 instead of 25...but we'd still lose.

all of these problems explain why we suck...they are talent issues.

Against the top tier teams, we don't have the talent to compete, but losing by 34 to the bottom feeders is an effort issue, not a talent issue.

Can't argue:

ZachLowe_SI Zach Lowe
Jawad Williams just had as bad three or four minutes as any player has had this season.

ZachLowe_SI Zach Lowe
And the Jawad Williams misery continues with his third air ball/blocked shot and bad trans D leading to his guy (KD) dunking.

ZachLowe_SI Zach Lowe
Oh my god, James Harden nearly killed J.J. Hickson with that dunk. This game is completely over.

those of you complaining about effort of the "team", I don't see what you are tonight. Take out the Jawad minutes and we are right there in this game....AV has 14 boards with 20 min. to go....our first team has played well actually. I am convinced our coach does not really want to win...no reason ever for Jawad to see the floor...if he wants to tank, play Harris and Eyenga.

edit: as soon as I type this they score 100 pts in a row............

that's true to some degree...but only if the "talented" team is not trying at all...also...even a "non talented" team has to have at least one all star to compete.

Byron is seeing the light (finally!!!!). Graham checking in for Parker instead of Jawad! Woot!

I feel that the Thunder are just playing with the Cavs. They know they can put this one away whenever they need to. Cavs just cant compete. The trade deadline cant get here soon enough.

Awful shots the last few trips down the floor and the lead back up to 15. What is wrong with moving the ball? It's what got them back in the game. Stupid mother fuckers. Mo with a fucking heat check. Give me a break.
